Previews for the fourth Broadway revival of Eugene O'Neill's The Iceman Cometh begin in just a few days (Thursday, March 22, 2018) at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. Starring Denzel Washington and directed by George C. Wolfe, The Iceman Cometh is set to open officially on Thursday, April 26 for a limited run currently through Sunday, July 1.
Who's going?!
My sister and I have tickets for April 29th. One of 11 shows we are seeing on our annual Broadway Trip from Texas.I am impatiently waiting to see it.
I'll be there next Tuesday. I'm very excited about it, as a fan of both Wolfe and Washington. I'll post some brief thoughts afterward!

If anyone's interested, there $79 rear mezzanine - $109 side orchestra available on TodayTix for dates through April. Of course there's the fee, but they still come out a tad cheaper than face value.
First preview postponed, will now begin on Friday.

"Due to inclement weather which prevented set pieces from reaching the Bernard Jacobs Theatre on time, the first preview of Eugene O’Neill’s The Iceman Cometh on Broadway—scheduled for Thursday, March 22—has been postponed. Performances will now begin on Friday, March 23 evening at 7 p.m."
Does that mean they've done tech without pieces of their set? Is that a common occurrence?
The second Rudin show within a month to postpone previews due to set issues?

Wasn’t there another storm like a week ago? Maybe they were talking about that one
I walk past the Jacobs every day, and there's been load-in materials changing daily underneath the marquee for at least the past month. Strikes me a little odd.
Oof, I hope this isn't a bad sign for this production overall. I assume that there is something more behind the decision to postpone than just set materials.

I don't see a reason to assume either of those things.
Remember that Three Tall Women cancelled their first 2 previews, and now the production seems to be going exceedingly well.
Maybe they aren't huge set pieces that are crucial to tech, but he doesn't want a half-dressed production to go up either.

This was my thought as well, although JBroadway makes a good point re: Three Tall Women. Either way, I'm excited to see this on Tuesday!
Anyone who's there tonight or this weekend, I'd love a report of how the show's looking. I'm curious about the runtime of the loooooong show.
I've also never been to the Jacobs before. My wife and I have rear mezz seats, row J. Can anyone confirm how the sight lines are from there?

I sat in the rear mezz for THE COLOR PURPLE and thought it was a great view.
Anyone try to RUSH this morning? Any word on rush tickets or standing room, etc?

Telecharge says 3 hours and 50 minutes with two intermissions. Of course, in the first few previews that's subject to change

Full house. No merchandise. Selling water bottles but pouring into cup so bottles will not make noise.
Sorry, but can someone post the Instagram location tag for the Bernard b Jacobs theatre? I can’t get it to show up on my instagram.

Show ended at 11:04. Great cast. David Morse mumbled, was hard to hear and went in and out of his accent. He needed two lines. Denzel was amazing. He needed three lines in the last act. He was amazingly engaging and will certainly receive nominations.

When picking up our tickets for tonight, I heard the guy at the box office tell someone that there are $40 partial view seats that go on sale when the box office opens.
