Previews start tonight. Beyond curious how Calista and Zach Qunito are together as George and Martha.
Have tickets for next week but curious how it plays

I'm hoping to fly out and see this as I've really liked Quinto in his stage performances.
I got a subscription this year, so I have tickets for May. Hope it's good!

If you could pick from (cheap seats) rear orchestra or balcony which is a better view?
I sat in the balcony years ago when Joan Rivers did her one woman play in the balcony and it was fine. wasn't super into rear orchestra there. I think maybe for this show the closer the better?

Joan Rivers did her play in the balcony? What a novel idea!
Yeah I was just worried about the overhang cause I hate that, but never been in this theater. Might just take the plunge! $40.

I sat in the second level for Significant Other and it felt VERY far from the actual stage

I've seen a number of shows here over the years. There is no overhang. The orchestra ends, there's a 10-15 foot wall and the balcony begins behind the top of it. And yes, you feel very far away. I've sat up there twice and after the last time 5 or 6 years ago, I vowed never again.
Trade secret... your best bet are the $39 side mid orchestra seats around rows f, g, h etc. if they are available when you want to go.. They're almost never obstructed given how they stage most productions and are usually great seats. I've sat there for some of their recent big name shows, Bryan Cranston in Power of Sail in February and Andy Garcia in Key Largo right before the pandemic. Fantastic seats at a great price. Don't know the staging for this show, but if I was able to be in L.A. during the run, that's what I would do.
And not to be "that guy" but it's Virginia WOOLF.

No, not a single person. Hard to believe they are playing to empty house, but the show must go on.

Does anyone know what happened to the originally announced Edmund Donovan in the role of "Nick"? Now it seems like Graham Phillips (which I love as well) is in the role. There are even PR shots and rehearsal shots of Donovan rehearsing etc, and BAM he vanished.

This sounds like the beginning of a sequel to The Leftovers.

Hulu series - Tell Me Lies. Also, heard the production is terrific and emotionally exhausting by the end as the cast is excellent and Flockhart being astounding!

I'll be there tonight and will report back! It's one of my favorite plays -- I don't particularly see Quinto and Flockhart as George and Martha, but hoping to be pleasantly surprised!
(It's also their last show of a 5-show-weekend, and it's preview week, so if they're doing it right, they're probably going to be EXHAUSTED)

Afterso many productions (and repeat viewings of the film,) I happily saw her make very different and interesting choices. She plays it quite sensitively in an unexpected way, and honestly, I haven’t seen her in anything in a while and this performance made me look forward to seeing her do something again. Zachary is playing averyangry George. I was eavesdropping on a certain 90-year old EGOT-winning legend in front of me, and she said he said was losing his voice doing this production. It’s obvious. There were several moments that his voice was unsupported, and several times I wondered if he was yelling to overcome vocal instability. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had to take a break after opening."
I mean you could have just said Rita Morenos name lol

I haven’t seen the show yet and have nothing to say, but the “Virginia Wolfe” “corrected” to “Virginia Wolf” was driving me nuts.

It’s actually VIRGINIA WOOLF.
WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? is the title.
