I’d be very grateful for advice on this one. I will be in NY next week and have one slot free, the Thursday matinee. I live in London and have seen most things (including Gatsby, both there and here). I am torn between Boop and The Outsiders. I’ll see anything that comes over to the UK, but can only get to NY once or twice per year (circumstances, being what they are, willing). Oedipus is AMAZING, as is Giant (there’s some kind of Monday tickets thing). Lithgow and Manville seem to be locks for the Oliviers from my perspective. I was bored stiff by the book of A Face in the Crowd but Ramin and Anoushka were fantastic. I have not heard good things about Juno and the Paycock. Tennant was great at the Donmar and I’m sure will be good in the WE as well. Oh and the Duchess was all over the place. Jodie W was good but it was like Tarantino.

Echoing those above. In addition, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake…) is charming. I’ve heard good things about Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder but haven’t seen it yet. And Starlight Express should be quite an experience, if nothing else.

If you’re Agatha Christie fans, Witness for the Prosecution is on at County Hall (near the London Eye). I couldn’t speak to the acting, but the courtroom setting is excellent.

Glad you’ve added Mincemeat as that would have been my number one recommendation. Newsies is fun and high energy but it’s a bit of a trek from central London, and the accents are a bit dodgy if you’re American. I’d wait on Cabaret - the experience is fun no matter who they cast and I’m not a Maude Apatow fan either. Green is certainly within his rights to think that Comer is stronger than the play (and not alone in doing so) but his comments about her Liverpool accent were pretty offensive (it’s neither “peculiar,” nor a “twang,” nor really similar to the Beatles, as accents change over time).

The Chichester production was excellent. (Except for some of the accents). Sharon D Clarke is a phenomenal singer and a pretty good actor and did a great job, but my God, I'd love to see Patina Miller in this part.

Come From Away is very popular with theatregoers of all ages, but it seems especially popular with seniors. I would recommend it to your group.

Sure, I don't disagree with that. But it makes no sense to say that Groban "didn't deliver a large enough audience" when he clearly did. He can't be blamed for the failings of the show itself or its producers.
