Re: Unpopular Opinions

Mar 28, 2011 — 5:24:17 PM

I LOVE the concert version of Chess. (minus the weird chorus crap) I HATE wicked (can't tell if this is a popular or unpopular opinion...) I have never understood why Evita is so great I like the movie recording of Chicago more than the OBC I love Annie I hate Hair

SPIDER-MAN Stops Midshow Again

Mar 23, 2011 — 3:44:00 PM

I was there for the 99th preview, the night before Julie was fired, and they had to stop at the spidey/goblin fight scene. The whole system shuts down automatically, making it very clear that the only live music is coming from the guitarists downstage right. wah-wah.

Les Miz to air on PBS 3/6/11

Mar 7, 2011 — 10:29:08 PM

i loved it on the whole, but was VERY upset that they didn't use the full version of Little People. Besides that, it was fabulous.

Bring it On first preview blog...

since i cant live in NYC, heres why im proud to live in Atlanta! It was amazing! I honestly didnt think i would like it at all, but i really really enjoyed it! First off, i was surprised when Bridget, played by Ryann Redmond came on and i realized i knew her from a workshop. She was fabulous then and she's even more fabulous now. The music is definitely more ITH than N2N. The first number of act two was VERY 96,000. Twig, played by Jon Rua, sounded like Lin himself. I was pleasantly surprised...

"We r who we r" / We are who we are

Dec 28, 2010 — 11:35:32 PM

I'm kind of ashamed to admit that this just occurred to me, but someone please tell me that Ke$hsa's "we r who we r" is NOT an attempt at remixing La Cage? That would just be.... sad.

Group Numbers

Dec 5, 2010 — 5:35:21 PM

depending on exactly how many you have, a Charlie Brown group number could be cute. If you can pull it off, you can do the Into the Woods Prolouge. I did it with a group of 8 and it was amazing! Maybe the opening from Ragtime or Spelling Bee?
