When I first started going to the theater, prices for the best seats in the house were 20 - 25 bucks. I also remember that the ushers were professional and back then it was common to tip the usher a few bucks. On Friday and Saturday night performances many men wore tuxedos, and it was not uncommon to see most men in jackets and ties at all performances. Women were also as appropriately dressed. Jeans? Shorts? No way. And I'm talking about the early 70's folks!

Oh well... I wonder what the producers of DRS would think if they knew I couldn't GIVE AWAY a ticket to their show. I know it was short notice, but I tried.... Someone in Row Q had a nice spot to store their coat at today's matinee! Danny

OK, I hope am I not violating any rules here, but I didn't know where else to go. Didn't want a ticket to go to waste, and I know there are broadway fans here always looking for reasonable seats. Any word on who is cast toplay Heinzie? That role is key to the success of this musical. Great part and great numbers. This is looking to be a great revival of a darn good 50's era broadway musical.

WENT isn't the word... They went on "pre-sale" today for American Express Gold Card holders. I should have known better, but waited until this evening to look for tickets, and every decent seat for Friday, Saturday nights, and Saturday and Sunday matinees for the current run were gone! I was thrown off the Ticketmaster website for too many hits because I was looking for over an hour! Finally had to call on phone, and got some marginally decent front Mezz tickets for a 2 PM matinee on Friday D...

I sense that the original cast of Piazza will be the only cast. As good as it is, I don't see it having huge commercial appeal, (unfortunately that does not say much for the general ticket buying public). I don't foresee a long run, or any road productions. Bee, on the other hand, could be around a while, and easily go on the road. Bee has broad commercial appeal, it's funny, and has alot of heart. I would see Piazza now before it's gone, and come back to the Bee next time in town.

Goodnight everyone. Pleasure watching the Tonys with you all tonight, made it interesting and enjoyable. We bitch, we kvetch, but we know we are all hopelessly hooked. We love live theater, and that's all there is to it! Looking forward to the shows I have yet to see, and the new season!
