She's hyped up so much and I've heard she's good in Spamalot... but like everything else in Spamalot, is she over-hyped? Does she really deserve the TONY?
Is Sara Ramirez over-rated?

I think she totally deserves it. Is the show over-hyped? Yeah. Is Sara over-hyped? Maybe. But is the hype for HER well-earned in this case? To me, yes.

Has anyone seen all five actresses nominated for the Tony? I've only seen Celia Keenan-Bolger and Kelli O'Hara and I thought they were both terrific. How does Sara compare to these ladies?

I have see all but Celia. Kelli was the best (out of the ones I've seen) IMO.

I really liked Kelli, but my heart broke for Celia. I think if I were to choose between them, I'd say Celia.

I saw all 5 actresses. Though Jan also had a great scene-stealing role in Chitty, in terms of who I would pick, I'm torn between Kelli and Sara. I went into Spamalot thinking Sara was overhyped but she didn't seem at all. The two play such different roles and do such different things, but they're both awesome. I really don't know which I'd pick.

I have always liked Kelli but feel Sara is something special. Wel maybe a little EXTRA special.

HATED Sara with a passion. Sorry. The woman can't sing or act, and what's more, her voice is very annoying.

I cannot see how she would lose. It would probably be the biggest upset of the night. Can't sing Can't Act? If you have seriously seen her in the show and thought this I do not understand how you have come to this critic. Great voice. Great Comic Timing. Great Tony winning performance.

I think she's overrated as a typical Broadway-sounding singer..She's not my favorite in that category because she sounds too pop-ish. HOWEVER, she is an AMAZING singer nonetheless...I dont really remember her acting that well, but I guess I remember her more for her singing. The Spamalot CD definatley looses a lot of the excitement she showed on Stage. Still, I think she deserves a Tony (I've only seen her out of all the leads), so my opinion is highly biased..However, whoever wins will obviously be the one out of the 4 who deserved it the most :)
And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps...

Thenardier, I heard the line :) Perhaps it was my general displeasure with the entire show, which I hated, but I just couldn't get any semblance of stage presence from the girl. My opinion only.
