Stop worrying if your vision is new. Let others make that decision- They usually do. You keep moving on. Anything you do, Let it come from you. Then it will be new. Give us more to see... ~Sunday In the Park with George

Keep an eye on La Chanze for 'Color Purple'. I saw the show in Atlanta, and it is a definite star turn.

A good link to have and keep up with the new shows heading to Broadway.

(Martha Graham from a letter to Agnes de Mille) "There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening That is translated through you into action, And because there is only one of you in all time, This expression is unique. If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium And be lost. The world will never have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, Nor how valuable it is, Nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, To keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware Directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, A blessed unrest that keeps us marching And makes us more alive than others."

Odd Couple tickets went on sale today if you have an AmEx card - July 5th if you don't.

That's the show I'm most looking forward to in the coming season, as well as anything Roger Bart might be performing in. re: What do we have to look forward to next season??

WENT isn't the word...

They went on "pre-sale" today for American Express Gold Card holders.

I should have known better, but waited until this evening to look for tickets, and every decent seat for Friday, Saturday nights, and Saturday and Sunday matinees for the current run were gone!

I was thrown off the Ticketmaster website for too many hits because I was looking for over an hour!

Finally had to call on phone, and got some marginally decent front Mezz tickets for a 2 PM matinee on Friday December 30th.

Sheeesh.

This is shaping up to be a red hot ticket, hotter then 700 Sundays?

I am also loking forward to the Pajama Game and A Chorus Line.

If you haven't already seen Holbrook do Twain, it is well worth it even if you aren't a devotee of Mark Twain. Of all the one man/woman bio shows I've seen, this one is the best.

"No two shows are alike in the making. Each show is a living piece of your life in a small unreal world with its own character and integrity; its own new set of memorable experiences and incredible happenings. You begin to love and adapt to its strangeness. Dreams harden into substance. Values come into focus. You wish it would never end. The dream world vanishes like mist before a rising sun; part of you vanishes with it. And back you land in the real world with a thud- fogged, uneasy, jittery, difficult to get along with. There is only one cure. A new show. A new, small unreal world; new visions, experiences, incredible happenings. Again you love it, adapt to it, wish it would never end. But end it does. Another part of you vanishes. That's show business."-Anonymous
