re: Avenue Q Tour Dec 5 2007, 11:38:57 AM
I saw this in KC a few weeks back. Outstanding. I also saw with Barrett and Steph in NY, and this cast is equally as impressive (I don't agree with previous assessment of Brian). The sound at the Music Hall in KC made parts difficult to hear, I hope it's better in Minn. Enjoy!

re: Broadway names pronunciation May 22 2006, 08:39:17 AM
A name that I always pronounced incorrectly was Lithgow. I've always heard Lith-GOW like cow, but on the DRS CR, he says Lith-GO.

re: Disney's On the Record Jun 17 2005, 02:00:27 PM
I saw this last night at Starlight. A very pleasant show. I really enjoyed the voices, and it was fun to hear how they wove all of the Disney shows together. Others are correct, no plot...it's one big Disney concert. I did feel somewhat sorry for the little kids who came with Mickey or Cinderella on their shirt hoping to see costumed characters. Sorry kids...just a bunch of (very good) singing.

re: How Rude Jun 12 2005, 02:55:10 PM
I don't know about the expectation that a Standing O is requisite. I've only been to a few shows actually on Broadway, but see all the productions here in Kansas City. A year or so ago, a production of Kiss Me Kate came through, and I couldn't wait to get out. There was no Standing O, hardly any applause at all to justify thier curtain call. I'll only stand if the performance dictates that I get up. Now, at the big Starlight Theather (outdoor theatre with 8000+ seats), many people

re: Did anyone see the 'Casper, the musical' national tour? Jun 6 2005, 02:23:36 PM
It was a Pittsburgh CLO production that toured a small number of cities. It was (being as nice as possible) a cute show for children. As a piece of musical theatre, it grotesquely lacked throughout. I may have the program from Starlight Theatre in Kansas City (not a picture program, but the STAR-BILL). If I can find it, I'll PM you for an address to send. It means so much to me, I'll send it off for free

Marquise...I assume you've already seen DRS then? If not, that should be on your must-see list!

re: The 2005 Tony Awards Thread Jun 5 2005, 11:02:26 PM
Congrats to Spamalot! I wish I understood why people love this so much, but I guess I'm the oddball. My personal award goes to DRS. Yeah, Norbie! I agree with others, this year's production of the Tony's was lackluster in almost every single way. I will forget it by Tuesday a.m.

Everything about this show is just too fun. Love it!

Saw them last year, I thought they were very good. You won't be disappointed, outstanding cast overall.

re: DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS review by Munk Feb 17 2005, 08:24:14 AM
These reviews are very exciting. We see the show on 3/22. Would you recommend seeing the movie beforehand? Or should I let the musical tell the story? (I saw the movie once, but it was more than 10 years ago, and I barely remember it.)

re: Show Dissapointment? Feb 15 2005, 10:26:59 AM
CHICAGO-- I shouldn't have seen the movie beforehand, I guess. I really enjoyed the movie, and found it to be lackluster on stage comparitively.
