Can Broadway handle the truth?
We’ll find out tomorrow (October 8), when the first revival of Aaron Sorkin’s military drama A Few Good Men starts up at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre. Bradley Whitford and Tom Blyth lead the company as lieutenants Jessup and Kaffee; also in the large principal cast are Stephanie Berry, Nick Blaemire, Michael Braugher, Christopher Gurr, Billy Eugene Jones, Collin Kelly-Sordelet, Shunté Lofton, Michael Oberholtzer, Krysta Rodriguez, Lavel Schley, Thom Sesma, Daniel Velez, and John Zdrojeski. A Few Good Men opens on October 29 and runs until January 10; Michael Arden directs.
“Military lawyer Daniel Kaffee is known for his wit, charm, and uncanny talent for closing cases before they ever get to trial. When assigned to defend two young Marines accused of murder, his typical strategy is upended by Lt. Commander JoAnne Galloway, a sharp attorney determined to prove the men’s innocence. But the evidence soon leads them to a cover-up, putting them on a collision course with the entire chain of command.”
Who’s excited for this one?
