Who is Becky Shaw? Feb 1 2026, 10:58:20 AM
Well, I doubt it's Matthew Morrison.
It is indeed odd that they haven't announced this yet, and they're cutting it awfully close if they don't yet know.

Watching this also makes me sad. It should have been David Carroll performing the number with Michael Jeter.

He was glorious as the Baron. I will be forever grateful to have seen him right around this time. Here he is with Michael Jeter and company at the 1989 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Well.. they didn’t sucker anything out of anybody. And the expectation was that Ariana would be nominated . Don’t act like a know it all. "
As the “know it all” in question here, I’d

Not exactly. Angels In America: Part One is called Millennium Approaches and Angels In America: Part Two is called Perestroika. They had been presented as one play by the Eureka Theater Company in San Francisco in May of 1991, though Perestroika was only given a staged reading. Millennium Approaches was then produc

Bugonia is wonderful, but I think its best performance is given by Jesse Plemons. All five nominees for Best Actor are deserving, but I wish Jesse had gotten in there somehow.

This is true, and Groff is the former. Little Shop, Merrily We Roll Along and Just In Time are very different shows and he is the link to their box-office success.
So you don't think that Daniel Radcliffe played a part in Merrily's box office success?

On a side note, and very generally speaking, I've unfortunately concluded that progressive art ages worsethan conservative art. While conservative art is often blithely ignorant to injustice or suffering, generally, progressive art that seeks to acknowledge injustice therefor included language, views andsolutions that are inspirational for the moment, but date quickly."

^ I never watched Glee. Well, I saw one or two early episodes and they were more than enough for me. I liked Matt a lot in Light In The Piazza and 10,000 Miles, and I saw him do something successfully slick and nightclub-ish a while back, too. I didn't like him all that much in South Pacific, but I didn't like his replacement, either. I blame that more on Sher needing to turn Cable into the Ugly American, his one wrong move in that ot

A redheaded Bobby Darin?! I can't see that, but he is a great talent and I hope he's back in something soon.
Would Matt Doyle be OK? Even with his Tony he's not all that well known, but how did he do as Sinatra?
I really think Morrison is the best of all who've been mentioned.

Jeremy and Matt are both good choices. In fact, they are the only people I can think of who approach the energy, talent and fame of Jonathan without being committed to Hollywood.
Matt could use the job more. He's fallen off of the Broadway radar and a good run in this show could elevate his profile. Jeremy might not want to replace anybody at this point. His Broadway profile is considerably more secure. How things have changed since Finding Neverland
