No one took into account how much its success depended on its being a movie. Sal probably said no more in the film than he says on stage, he may even hav

There was a wonderful production ofHay Fever in 1985 directed by Brian Murray with a cast partly Brit, partly American including Rosemary Harris, Roy Dotrice, Barbara Bryne, Robert Joy, Charles Kimbrough, and Deborah Rush. All were wonderful, especially Rush and Bryne."
I can still see Deborah Rush looking for her contact

THE FEAR OF 13 Reviews Apr 16 2026, 06:32:40 AM
Many reviews point out that Ephraim Sykes leads a version of The Temptations' "I Wish It Would Rain" in The Fear of 13. A bit of synchronicity, perhaps. Ephraim played David Ruffin in the original cast of Ain't Too Proud. (His was my favorite performance in that show.)

It’s remarkable that NY got all three of those in one season.

Last night, there was nothing to indicate any of the actors were in different shows, they were all uniformly brilliant.
The mark of not just good actors but great actors is when they can take a piece like this, one that's been done countless times before by some of the best to e

Is he definitely categorized as Featured? I can see them categorizing him as Lead and Ball as Featured. They are both listed below the title, but the Tonys are notoriously inconsistent regarding their "rules."

Yes,even more so. Good as they all are, Alden is the straw that stirs the drink here.

I think you’re right and, having seen it, they are well deserved. These are the kind of reviews that should at the very least extend their run. Hopefully Patrick Ball won’t have to rush back to the set of The Pitt.

2026-7 season emptiness Apr 4 2026, 10:43:52 PM
International chaos, economic and otherwise, probably has producers choosing caution.

This is the best post I've ever seen on this board. You're about halfway through Act Two as I type. Have a grand time.

We were mid Orchestra, the furthest two seats in Row L house right. We may have missed some elements of some entrances and exits, but there was certainly nothing going on that we heard but did not see.
(Leg room is not to be found in that theatre no matter what you pay, so an aisle seat would have been nice.)

I hadn't read it, it was completely new to me, and it just crackles. Yes, go.

She sounds like the Terrence Howard of musicals. Who needs 'em?

JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE 2026 Previews Apr 1 2026, 09:41:26 AM
I was surprised there had been no reports on this board after the first two previews so I checked on reddit. Happily, the report on the first preview is a good one, well detailed. It's such a beautiful play, I hope this production brings it to a new audience.

Perhaps if I had seen her in her other roles I would feel differently."

Great actor, and I look forward to seeing his performance later this week, but is he considered lead or featured?

This was less freighted with importance and consistently enjoyable."
This is a great way to look at it.

Best Musical Revival Mar 29 2026, 09:10:00 AM
Something will win because something has to, but this just hasn't been a good season for musicals, revival or new. It's a surprisingly strong year for both new and revived plays, probably in no small part because they aren't as expensive to produce, but not for musicals.
Ragtime seems like the best of them but maybe Rocky Horror will surprise us.

The cast is across the board fantastic, and the brings so much to and so much out of the material. So much so that I wish they could've done away with the epilogue. It doesn't feel like an organic part of the play but more like a Miller shouting the audience "Hey this is what this play is about" scene, and it worked in some p
