In 2023 when we were living in a Dune installment under orange skies, Broadway refused to go dark for a night and several shows had to cancel performances because performers called out instead. And GOOD FOR THEM for it too. The fact that the league didn’t take the hazards to actors seriously in that moment is a really egregious recent example of negligence.

The world didn’t stop because of the wildfires. I had to go to work like everybody else, but Broadway actors are so special to you that they should be exempt?

Is it as bad there now as it was on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023. That was crazy. I took pictures of Times Square and it looked so eerie. I had a few masks still in my bag and threw one on. I saw a number of people wearing theirs. From what I remember, shows did go on. I think mine did.

No, it's not nearly as bad as it was in 2023.

The AC in the theatres also filters the air. Those who are concerned should wear a mask when traveling to and from, but inside I think they should be fine. I'd be more concerned with outdoor performances.

I don't think the smoke will have much of an effect this time around.

Boston and Toronto, on the other hand, are looking like NYC did 3 years ago.
