I love Brigadoon. Hated the movie, but the 1980 Broadway revival was great. Of course, that was before I found out that love stories like that never happen in real life.

I love the first act of the Lion King, but as far as I'm concerned the only things worth watching in the second act is the Madness of King Scar and the Finale. Too bad they can't just eliminate everything in-between. Oh, well, it's a good time for a nap. LOL

Gugwana Dlamini is wonderful as Rafiki in the Cheetah Company tour (currently in Portland, OR). Larry Yando as Scar and Derek Hasenstab as Zazu are also amazing. Good show!

The Lion King that was recently in Chicago (Cheetah Company) is now in Portland, Oregon. The one in Birmingham is the Gazelle Company.

A "sit-down production" means it will play Chicago as long as it is selling tickets, instead of moving from city to city after a certain amount of weeks. There is also a Wicked touring company that is currently in San Francisco.
