jagfkb: if youre really interested in performing a public service, shouldn't you be sending that letter to both the Union and the League???
Broadway Legend Joined: 5/29/07
definately, I'll send it to both! Keep posting!
Little Mermaid - 12/6.
And what makes you think, that, on the off-chance it lasts two months, it's not gonna go longer?

A strike? For over two months? Though that would be extremly depressing, wouldn't producers have figured out how to work around the strike by perhaps hiring intern stage hands until the strike ends?
Gladly!
The Farnsworth Invetion - 11.13.07 (purchased well in advance)
Rock 'N' Roll - 11.24.07 (purchased the day of the pre-sale)
Cyrano de Bergerac - 12.15.07 (premier seating for two)
The Lion King - 01.10.08 (purchased 4 months in advance)
The Little Mermaid - 01.30.08 (two front row, full-price during pre-sale)
If they were gonna try to find ways around the strike I would hope they'd do that before the Christmas season starts and they realize that they screwed themselves.

Mine are:
Is He Dead (Nov. 10th) **Refunded
Wicked (Nov. 17th)
Cyrano (Nov. 17th)
August: Osage County (Nov. 21st)
Is He Dead (Nov. 21st) --to replace this past Sat.
Cyrano: Nov. 30
If the strike lasts 2 months Broadway is going to be in a hell of a lot of trouble! Many shows would not be able to recover from a hit like that.
Don't you think they already know how many people are being effected? If the crying kids outside of Grinch didn't tug their heartstrings, nothing will. Both sides know this.
November 10th- Cyrano de Bergerac
December 1st- Rock 'n' Roll

Perhaps the kids didn't affect them, but perhaps this will. Never the less, keep posting them.

Pointless. Pointless. Pointless.
Local One knows how many people they're affecting. THAT IS THE POINT OF A STRIKE.

I was unable to go to Les Miz on November 11 - 2pm. I bought the ticket a month ago. Luckily, I had seen many of the shows I was going to during my trip to NYC earlier in the week.
**Climbing up on soapbox**
What would get everybody's attention is if we; the fans, just stopped buying tickets. Too bad theater fans don't have the luxury of being represented by some self-important wanna-be guru leading people like just so many lemmings. If we; the fans, could ever get organized enough to say the hell with theatre even for a week - they would all realize just how un-important they are. Without us - they're all screwed. Power to the people!!
**Climbing down off soapbox**
That said, I haven't bought a ticket for a show since last month because I saw the strike coming.
