Very nice job casting. I loved it. But unfortunately Paramount are the producers, not any indie or artsy company. So unless Lindsay or Britney are in that line up.....we all know it wont sell tickets. And unfortunately the "Theater" demographic is a VERY small drop in the pan. Not that Kelly and Reese arent huge stars. But lets face it, they dont have half the following Madonna did when Evita was released. And anyone can tell you that Evita's ticket sales stood on the shoulder's of Madonna fame,

Okay, Chicago isnt good for high school. If done right it is too R rated. Plus, not enough characters. I know it sounds typical but Grease and West Side Story are the best musicals for high schools. They need a lot of people and they have a lot of various roles.

DONT GO. That is a busted non-equity tour. It will be a low paying job and you will be treated like crap. I have friends that did it and have nothing good to say about it. You dont want that kinda experience. It will make you bitter.

YES...It did see her too. In Houston. It was a nightmare. She killed the show. I felt sorry for everyone who had never seen the show before. Especially after seeing Stephanie. She is perfect.

I saw Cats in Detroit this past weekend. It was a mess. Mr. Mistofelees killed the show. I knew it was a non-equity tour....but I thought the cast was really talented. Until Mistofelees came out. It was like a really bad competition number. We all gaged!!!
Did you know they have an inflaitable set??? It looked so cheap.

Cast members on the national tour, Chicago, and Broadway cast are requesting to join the much anticipated LA company of Wicked. It will be an opened ended run.
The opening night is scheduled for May 2006.
I hear that everyone wants to be in the cast.

Parks-
I saw Maria as well, she's good but Laura Dysarczyk was much better. Technically speaking there is no comparison. Laura is perfect as Nessa, especially next to Stephanie. Maybe she'll be on for Jenna when you see the show?
Anyone seeing it in Houston?

I just saw Wicked for the 4th time! Twice in New York (OBC) and twice here in Dallas. The Principals on the National Tour are amazing! Kendra Kessebaum was Glinda (SO funny I cried), Stephanie Block was Elphaba (better than Idina), Laura Dysarczyk was Nessarose (the best I've ever seen). Plus-Timothy Britten Parker, David Garrison, and Carol Kane. I mean the show was amazing! And the chemistry between all the characters were clear for the first time.
