THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES Reviews

Nov 10, 2025 — 1:08:42 AM

Sounds just like how I felt with all the love for Sunset Blvd, which you were panting over. People love The Queen of Versailles. Get over it. It’s running all the way to June so Kristin gets her Tony award. Caissie Levy, no chance.

Joey sims needs to stop reviewing. Not only is he a terrible writer, he has spelled Kristin Chenoweth’s name wrong. Theatrly’s gotta go

Phantom Tour Cast

I’ve been listening to the audio that’s on YouTube. They sound excellent!!! I looked up tickets, and it seems to be selling really well. Right now, it is touring through September of next year. They are doing pretty long sit downs in Chicago and LA, it’s not that many tour stops so far, I’m sure they will keep going.

Broadway “opera house”

I tried to keep it more recent. I also could have said Kathleen Marshall’s Anything goes, Sam Mendes’ Cabaret, Bart Sher’s South Pacific, Randy Skinner’s 42nd Street, Diane Paulus’ Pippin, Jerry Zacks’ Hello Dolly. What are your example’s of iconic productions?

Broadway “opera house”

Would a theater on Broadway rotating beloved productions ever work? If they did a season of iconic productions like Marianne Elliot’s Company, and then Maria Friedman’s Merrily, Jamie Lloyd’s Sunset Blvd, Michael Arden’s Parade. What happened to all the scenery and costumes?

January West End Show Advice

None of it. Go to Paris instead and see Les demoiselles de Rochefort. Go to all the fabulous cabarets and cafes, see the impressionists at musee d’orsay and enjoy Paris, a far superior city than London. Also, people don’t fly out of London anymore cause it’s too expensive. They’re flying out of Charles de Gaulle

Are they looking to come to Broadway ?

Kyoto at the Mitzi Newhouse

Nov 9, 2025 — 12:42:06 PM

The only time I actually liked Stephen daldry’s work was Skylight. Probably because it was more human, more intimate, more real. I can’t with these chaotic satirical political plays with everyone on edge like Kyoto and The Jungle. The only thing I appreciate about them is that they move. I’d take Liberation or Prayer for the French Republic any day over the horrible British dramas

Wow okay, well I’m assuming he’s still doing some sort of accent to presumably sound like the guy he’s playing. It sounded cheesy

Purple Rain Marquee is Up - Who is in it?

Nov 8, 2025 — 11:58:53 PM

The audience is simply too young to care about Prince. The average age of ticket buyers is around 40. This musical is a few decades too late
