Does that mean Jesse will be leaving SB?
The article says he "was" a member of the cast of SB as if he already left. But I think he is still in the show isn't he?
Yes. I just think it means he was in the original. Plus they're talking about TV so the writer's in the shoot and air it mind set, not the go to work everyday live one.

He was my favorite cast member in Spelling Bee, so I'll be sorry if he leaves thea theatrical world, but I wish him good luck nevertheless. Considering the usual success rate of pilots, he'll need it. :/
They shoot the pilot in March, and then production is this summer, so hopefully Jesse will stick around til at least then.
We love you Jesse, congratulations!
I want to marry Jesse.

Wow- that was faster than fast.
He sorta looked like Conan O'Brian.
Best of luck to him. He's a genuine original. My favorite person in SPELLING BEE, and that's saying something. :)

what?????????
Bumping up to remind everyone to watch "The Class" on Mondays on CBS, 8pm in NYC!
I have heard great stuff about it, so many people have told me the show is absolutely hysterical.
Can't wait to see it in a week and a half!!!
It's on Monday!!! Everyone set your VCRs and Tivo!!!
swoon
I saw the pilot (courtesy of TiVo). It's not that funny, but it shows promise, I guess. The ending was touching. And Jesse Tyler Ferguson is great. If this show doesn't work out, I'm sure he'll land another soon. And if not, I hope he comes back to Broadway!
I'm sorry you didn't find it "that funny", everyone has their own sense of humor and I guess it didn't jive with yours.
Still can't wait to see it!
julie halston of GYPSY and HAIRSPRAY is featured as the ritter kid's mom.
Rumnor has it that, if you have Tivo, Time Warner's digital recorder or the like you can record the show as it's being aired at some ungodly time (like 4 AM). So if you're a night owl, you can see it, too.
ETA: A friend watched it the other night and had nothing but raves.

I have watched the first two episodes. The show has great potential. It is Friends meets Will & Grace meets Desperate Housewives. There were things I did not like but a lot of things I also really liked and was funny enough touched by.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson is a real stand out in the show. His material lands and his character is very sweet and sympathetic. There is a lot of Leaf in there.
In a world of giving new shows only one episode to take, I hope they give this one at least two or three. The pilot has great cliffhangers including one on Jesse's plotline.
Ok! I found it on TV! Thurs at 5am, and Fri at 3:33am, on totally random channels.
My Tivo is set!! Thank you Time Warner!!!
Liotte, what channels? Are they Time Warner Cable stations? PM ME!

There's a 1 minute video clip from the series here, and a 3-4 minute video interview with Jesse and also one with Heather Goldenhersh (of DOUBT) who's on the show as well.
Jesse is so gosh darn adorable. I just want to give him a big hug.

The show only gets better from the Pilot.
Also, Richie (Jesse's charcter) becomes more prominent as the episodes go on.
Good stuff ahead.
