Concept cast is very well done, reminds me of the pre broadway version of the show, I'm from Houston and this show had a great original production at the Alley Theatre, Robert Cuccioli will always be my favorite J&H.

For Jekyll fans-Update Footlight Closing Jun 21 2007, 06:31:30 PM
I just got my copy of the J&H Korean cast CD from Footlight. The recording is amazing (double disk set), the three leads are perfect! I have never heard any of the other international casts of this show but others were at the Footlight site as well. Highlights for me- No one knows who I am This is the Moment Someone like you Alive In his eyes Confrontation This version has Bring on the Men rather than Good and Evil 16 tracks on disc one,

Chess in Concert CD May 2 2007, 03:04:13 AM
Is the Chess in Concert CD a quality recording of the musical? I have the London, Broadway, and Swedish recordings(Broadway being my fav) but apart from the Danish recording-which is hard to find-none are quite complete, especially the Broadway recording. I was hoping the concert was a more complete recording of the show. For those who have various versions of the show- compare this version with the ones you have or have heard. Thanks

Did anyone see his concert live? How was it? I saw Lestat a few times, I thought he was great as Armand.

re: Williams, McGillin Spider Woman Recording Mar 2 2007, 09:39:48 PM
Are the same backing tracks used for both recordings or did they record the 2nd version with a new orchestra?

Williams, McGillin Spider Woman Recording Mar 2 2007, 09:13:14 PM
I was playing some of the original cast recording of Kiss of the Spider Woman for my students today. (We are reading parts of the novel) A student in my class knew that Vanessa Williams had played the part. How does the recording with her differ from the original? Is the track list the same? I know this recording is out of print but I think you can buy it on ebay. I saw the show early in its run and again with Brian Mitchell and Jeff Hyslop, it is still one of my favorites.

re: 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' canceled Nov 23 2006, 06:32:49 PM
I was taken to NYC for the first time in 1987 by my grandmother. I was 5 years old and she took me to my first show which was "Les Liaisons." I still have the playbill, although I cannot recall the production apart from still images in my mind.I was told by my grandmother that I was very well behaved, next summer she took me back and I saw my first musicals- Phantom of the Opera and Chess. I was hooked and have been going ever since, Phantom is still my favorite show. When I met Alan Rickman aft

I had heard Alan Rickman might be starring in a revival of a production(can't recall the show), was that just a rumor? I would love to see him back on Broadway.

Thoughts on Marie Christine OBC Recording Nov 23 2006, 05:40:04 PM
I never saw this show but I saw the CD at Barnes and Noble and thought about buying it. For those of you who have this CD or saw the show-how would you describe it in terms of the musical style? What other shows might you compare it to? Thanks for your thoughts. I have been looking for a new recording to buy having already picked up the new Evita, J&H,and Chorus Line recordings. I also just ordered the OBC of Chess from Footlight, I already have the London recording but I have been tol

re: Favorite Stage Door Experiences May 27 2006, 05:07:49 PM
I have been lucky enough to meet some of Broadway's best actors at the stage door. I went backstage at Phantom of the Opera(my first broadway show, saw it in June 1988 when I was six) in May of 2001. I went on stage and under the stage where the sets for the lake scene are kept. Talked with the cast including Sandra Joseph and Howard McGillin as well as others in the cast. I have had my playbills signed by many casts including The Scarlet Pimpernel(Opening Night, special thanks to Doug

re: LESTAT Rave May 14 2006, 10:50:53 PM
Saw the show in previews and on opening night. I also loved the show, I have been a big fan of the books and enjoyed this production of the work. Thanks to all the cast for signing my playbill on opening night. Hope for a cast recording soon!

Faith Healer May 11 2006, 07:24:42 PM
How many agree that this is a truly remarkable production of this play? The acting is some of the best you are likely to see on Broadway, it is always a thrill to see actors that I have loved in film on stage, reminds me of how exciting it was to see Alan Rickman in Private Lives(and for him to sign my playbill!)
