How many agree that this is a truly remarkable production of this play? The acting is some of the best you are likely to see on Broadway, it is always a thrill to see actors that I have loved in film on stage, reminds me of how exciting it was to see Alan Rickman in Private Lives(and for him to sign my playbill!)

I concur. I haven't seen anything as invigorating since the thrilling night I spent at FESTEN. And having Jeremy Sisto almost sign my Playbill as he ran past me was like transubstantiation. I am not the same.

It's a boooooooooring play. Fine acting despite Cherry's flawed accent.

Jeremy Sisto is very friendly and signed my playbill.

I saw Faith Healer last night and was blown away by the performances, especially Jones and McDiarmid (and I'll admit I'd gone to see it for Ralph Fiennes.)

No sets, no music, just the power of words and the amazing actors who give them life. I was in tears when I left the theatre and again this morning when I was thinking about the play. WELL worth the money.

I agree. Saw it this Wednesday evening and thought it was incredible. Probably the best performances I will ever see in my life. Ralph, Cherry and Ian were all fantastic. If you can get a ticket to this show, go see it!

Funny how the two best theatrical experiences for me both involved Cherry Jones (Faith Healer and Doubt). She is truly remarkable. She deserves to win supporting actress and Ralph deserves the lead actor Tony. Faith Healer will definitely will best revival. Just excellent.

Ouch. I completely disagree, but it will be interesting to see what wins. Updated On: 5/12/06 at 12:39 PM

Awake and Sing was great! I heard Faith Healer extended by 2 weeks. Exciting!

Saw it last night. Just...wow. I knew Ian McDiarmid would be great, but he was absolutely spell-binding. I'm not just throwing that word out, either. My mind did not wander, my eyes did not leave the stage, my attention did not drop for one second during the entire time he was on stage. And this is coming from someone with slight ADD. Not to take anything away from Ralph Fiennes (I'd forgotten what a gorgeous man he was until last night, too) and the never-miss Cherry Jones, who were wonderful in their own right, but I would happily have watched a two-hour show just about Teddy if McDiarmid was playing it. Now that Richard Griffiths has been deemed leading, if McDiarmid doesn't win a Tony, the Tony committee should be given a one-way ticket to the Hebrides.

My next step is to get my hands on a copy of the script -- and then I might go see it again.
