I know I am going to get brickbats hurled at me from all directions but after all the years on the board i should be used to it
My wife & I saw it today & were blown away. The show is awesome. The score & book were good & the acting was uniformally great. Panero was very good & his voice is out of sight. The physical production was very good
I read Interview With The Vampire & saw the movie. They made as good a transfer as was possible. We cannot wait for the CD
Allison Fischer was out today but her understudy, Amy Sparrow , did not miss a beat. My wife never stays for autographs but needed to meet Hugh & tell him how much she loved his peformance. He was quite nice & even took a picture with her
People, do not listen to critics. Make up your own mind. The show is much better than you have read or been told by critics both in media & on this board
Well I am glad you liked it! I enjoyed it as well, but it was a shame you missed Allison Fischer!

I want to see it! You're so lucky! I hope Allison get's better! I heard she has a great voice!
I saw Allison on Thursday and she was wonderful. I do agree that the show is solid. Its not spectacular but the premise and story were compelling.
Nice to see not everyone thinks it is a dog because it is not. It is really quite good
Glad you enjoyed it. I LOVED the show!
Get better Allison! She's the best thing about that show!
i haven't gotten a chance to see it in NY. i saw it in tryouts in SF. and yes, Allison Ficher's voice is AMAZING! i hope she gets well, soon. :)
It's nice to see people who throughly enjoyed the show coming out of the woodwork on here now. I can't wait to see the show again. :) Sad you missed Allison, but it's nice to know Amy was wonderful. I think this was her first time going on? I could be wrong..

HOORAY for Lestat love. Glad you enjoyed the show!!
I THINK Amy's gone on twice now.
I'm very glad you enjoyed it. I wish people would give this show a chance and not write it off so soon. It has an amazing and talented cast and some of the music is pretty good.
Saw the show in previews and on opening night. I also loved the show, I have been a big fan of the books and enjoyed this production of the work. Thanks to all the cast for signing my playbill on opening night. Hope for a cast recording soon!
Can this be? Not one negative post on here yet? :) That makes me happy. jimnysf, staaaaaaay aaaawwway, or I'll kick your behind.
It IS a good show and the score and cast are top notch, I hope it pulls through during the summer months, I really want to see the revived NY version since I saw it in SF.

I'm seeing this in two weeks and after hearing so many horrid things about this show, it is nice to hear you enjoyed it. That actually got me pretty psyched. :)

jimmy, we really appreciate you biting your tongue. I'll speak for myself right now, but it means a lot to be able to discuss Lestat without any worries.
Thank you.
I agree, Joanna. Thank you for keeping your comments to yourself, Jimmy. :) It's appreciated.
WaltSummersPI saw the show today and said Amy's take on Claudia is completely different from Allison's. I wonder how so? Curious people want to know...
Aha, j'arrive.
Amy's a lot YOUNGER than Allison, and it shows in her delivery. Her Claudia is much more vulnerable and much brattier. Also, Amy is REALLY tall, just as tall as Jim Stanek, so when Claudia goes after Lestat, it's more believable that she'd have that strength.
I know it was only her third time on, but I thought she was VERY good. She's got a very pretty voice and does some excellent character work, especially with Hugh.

So, let me get this straight... you're holding back your opinions because you're afraid of a certain member harassing you? If I were you, I'd tell that member to f### the hell off

I'm sure you are not directing another personal attack to me but if you are, I say right back at you and please take your own advice! Don't have a nice day.
Where did anyone say that?

It's all the same. I see it is a personal attack.
Wasting my time, whilst taking it out to read threads and finding incessant, relentless damnation of a show we already know you don't like. We get the picture...
That's all I'm concerned about
rockfenris2005, I can tell that comment was directed at me. jimnysf and I happen to be friends and like to dig at each other on the Lestat boards for the hell of it. He loaths Lestat just as much as I adore it, and instead of biting each others heads off we have enjoyed teasing each other about it.
Thats all, it was not a personal attack in any way. Hence the wink after my previous comment.
Also it's kind of funny, because I am the last person to pick a personal fight with anyone on these boards.
