Does anyone have any insight/observations on the "24-bit digital remaster" of the OLCR? I realized I have a copy of it in my 25th anniversary box set, but never listened to it since I always pop in my original one or listen to it on streaming.

A lot of people seem to think AI was used. I highly doubt that BUT Christine's added "I can't I won't do it..." sounds suspiciously fake.

I'm working my way through. It is rather exciting, though definitely gives a very different vibe. I find it so interesting to hear the different layers and mix and the readded material (though slim) is great. I'm considering getting the CD when it comes out next month, though I wish it came with the complete libretto book like the vinyl. It sounds like it just comes with the "rare photos" and a note from Andrew.

I'm seeing the tour next spring and am a little worried since I caught the show on Broadway one last time a few months before it closed. The cast looks so young and I'm afraid I'll be very bothered by the (obviously) cheapened show. Though I thought I heard much of the Broadway set went out on tour with this...is that correct?

I'm not a huge fan of the title track, especially with the addition of the new click track. The vocals feel oddly isolated and detached from the overall texture, which sounds muddy and uneven. HOWEVER, I eagerly await the rest of the score that does not have the synth tracks like the title song. Not sure how much "cut" material we will get. I am hoping for some rebalancing/brightening of the orchestra so we can hear some of those lovely woodwind passages. Cautiously optimistic, but more curio...

I heard from people involved with the show that an extension "due to demand" in planned and will happen. I also heard that the redesigned tour is what is planned for Broadway, not the edited original as in London.

In the 2013 revival of The Glass Menagerie - after Laura/Celia gave away her unicorn she sat at the small table tracing the spot where it was. A very moving and personal moment while the scene continued to play behind her.

Can someone please DM me to explain the staging at the end of Part 1? I really want to know what could possibly make people sob so universally. I read the play and found it to be quite thin and, to quote others, very much a glorified soap opera. That being said, I had hoped to catch at least Part 1 last week when I was in the city, but my schedule did not match with theirs. Thanks!

Falsettolands, I wouldn't say it's a brilliant production, but I do think the acting was all brilliant. Especially the women. So I guess my enjoyment came from watching them and less about the play itself. I particularly found Sally Murphy to be riveting. And yes, the sound made me jump! And I was paying close attention - I can't imagine if one was asleep!
