I saw it 3 times on Broadway. It was brilliant.

I just saw the new West Side Story film. I highly recommend watching the original and forgetting this version. Its a bore and some of the new choices are just awful. Tony Kushner's rewrite is criminal. Having Rita Moreno play the owner of their hangout, Doc's Pharmacy just made absolutely no sense. Having the Jets hanging their after the rumble was ludicrous.It sounds good and the cast is amicable. The dancing is wonderful, but not nearly as 'tight' as the original. I saw Judy Kuhn on Broadway in Chess. She was amazing. The Broadway production of Chess was amazing and unfortunately never given a chance to find its audience. I also saw the London production which was a mess and suffered from the death of Michael Bennett and having to switch directors mid rehearsal.Broadway was an entirely different show. I saw this in Chicago a few years ago. Was not impressed. I thought it juvenile and pointless.

I saw GRIND. It was dreadful. A total bore. Had one interesting moment and it came in the opening. I don't remember the music being anything worth listening to again.

Does anyone have a lead to video or a recording of any production of this insanely funny musical? I would love to hear, We're In a Salad, again.

What I love about, Out for Blood. Of course the mystic of Carrie has a strong appeal, and that I saw the original and am actually interviewed play an important part, but most of all, its an epic story about the process of creating musical theater. Holly and Chris are amazing at leading us on yet a new Carrie journey. Bravo to them. Listen to the podcast. Its wonderful!

Wednesday's evenings have become about listing to Out for Blood. I really am enjoying this podcast. I love how far Carrie's reach has been. How many people were effected by this show.

How is it possible that this thread has gotten this far and no one has mentioned Alex Timbers. His work is extremely exciting, especially some of his Public Theater works like, Here Lies Love.

Another great episode landed today.I really wish this was getting more attention. Chris and Holly are wonderful as are the interviewees (I'm prejudice as I am included in some of the fan clips).I saw Carrie and years later the thread asking for anyone who saw Carrie to reach out.
