Don't know why I never mentioned this until now... I keep seeing that commercial for Nissan Rogue and I do believe that is RNJ in the driver's seat. I'm sure a lot of us have seen it by now because it's been on the air for weeks.
There are several variations of it.
Don’t get her appeal (in the theatre). Girl can’t sing (saw her in American Idiot & Oklahoma) and she certainly can’t act (saw her in Significant Other)
She's brilliant, gorgeous and has a heavenly voice especially in Murder Ballad and Oklahoma!
Period.

I too am a fan.
Me, three. Have enjoyed seeing her many times, and glad to see her career progress. Happy if she's getting a paycheck from the commercial right now.

Its a national TV commercial so in a month her residuals could be more than what her income would be working 8 performances a week for a year. That’s why you see many actors popping up on TV commercials. If it’s a national TV commercial, the income is beyond surreal.
Really....the pay is THAT high? I had no idea.

Only if it’s a national commercial airing on every network as residuals are involved. If you’re a spokesperson on a series of commercials, you can almost retire if you’re up to that. Hahaha. If it’s a cable commercial, it’s a great pay for a day’s work but nothing more.

Agreed, 100% but just wanted to throw in a shout out for Come Down Now from Passing Strange. Also, if you find her rendition of Lonely Room and still think she cant sing, you should get your ears checked.
Re the Nissan spot- no idea what the money is like for these things, but those commercials (shes in a few) are EVERYWHERE, and were especially prevalent during NFL games, to national audiences.

My friend broke into a commercial audition, booked it, and now has an apt on 72nd and a lake house in Jersey.
And I’ve never even seen the commercial.
So yeah this is major! Good for her! She’s incredible!
I can't imagine thinking she can't sing or act. I have loved her since Passing Strange and she has never let me down in anything since.

But honestly....thinking that because YOU don't like an actor, no one else possibly could is simply ridiculous. Just the fact she keeps getting hired is proof otherwise.

that first sentence above made sense: i dont get her appeal. lots of us are bewildered by certain performers' popularity.
undercutting that reasonable comment with "girl can't sing" is where it gets ridiculous. saying you saw her IN Am Idiot and/or Oklahoma! and came to this conclusion = laughable.
