cant you just respect someones opinion? seriously, i mean come on.

"Well, you can't always get what you want. I am a fan of a person's performance, not how friendly they are to complete strangers."

I am not saying i dont respect that persons performance, if you knew me you would know that their performance is what i value most. I am just saying that if they come out they should be nice, if they are having a bad day slip out the back.

If joanna wanted to make sure n

I am in NO way saying that Joanna gleason should have stayed to sign things on christmas eve, but it comes down to common courtesy, all she had to do was say sorry guys i have to get to my family, and that would have been absolutely understandable. Victoria Clark did that when i saw her on a holiday and everyone there completely understood.

And laura bell bundy has quite the attitude, you werent there when i saw her, there were quite a few younger kids who were mortified that she was so

I have had a few people who were disrespectful. Joanna Gleason walked right out after DRS on christmas eve. She covered her face and went straight to her car, if she didnt have time all she had to say was sorry have to get home for christmas, merry christmas everyone. thats it. John Lithgow was also a bit of a diva.

At the Xanadu door everyone was so sweet, except for kerry butler, she really didnt want to be out there, but at least she tried to hide it.

Laura Bell Bundy was e

Go see Sunday in the Park With George, one of the greatest shows to ever grace the stages of broadway.

Mammia Mia and Little Mermaid are both extreme disappointments. They really are weak and frustrating to watch.

Sunday in the Park with George will fascinate you.

To get back to the subject of who comes out the stage door (if people want to discuss replacements make a new thread)when i went only SUtton, Megan, and Andrea came out. And I was shocked even they did since it was raining so hard that day. But this is a cast with a lot of people who do not consistantly come out the stage door, so it is a chance you have to take.

This should never happen. NEVER.

Because this movie is not well known will help it be successful in the broadway community. And with Sutton FOster in the title role it is sure to be a wonderfully produced show.

It would work very well on stage.

re: Which Bdwy Stars would you love to hang out with?

Sutton Foster and Kate Shindle. Both are friendly and just fun regular people.

Also Audra, Bernadette, and LaChanze.

re: TCP Movie - LaChanze or Fantasia?
 Dec 17 2007, 12:55:06 PM
there will never be a movie considering that the first time it was made it was so ground breaking and is now considered a classic.

if somehow they were to redo the color purple and make it a musical movie then neither fantasia or lachanze would be celie. fantasia's performances do not transfer to screen at all, and it wasnt to grand to start with. and sadly LaChanze is not known enough in the film industry to get the part.

but seriously, never going to happen.

I will give her that her acting isn't half bad. Maybe this role will be better for her, no one really knows yet do we? Maybe my opinion will even change after I see her in a few weeks.

I would love to see her starring in a brand new broadway musical. I would line up for tickets to get to see her in one.

I saw her on broadway once, then twice on tour.

I have seen Katie live all three times, and her intonation(as you prefer for it to be refered to) was horrible. I also watched it on PBS, and i will give you that the broadcast was just not a good night for her. I really don't think she will be able to handle Wicked's score. Piazza definitely has a harder one, but Wickeds isn't exactly easy, especially for Glinda.

Dear bwaylvsong,

People get cast all the time even if they can't sing. I bet you have even seen a show a walked out saying, "wow, they just could not sing..." It happens, how or why is a mystery to me.

As for other people in Wicked as Glinda, it isnt too late to start casting people who can't sing now.

I have seen Katie in Piazza three times. She has been the weakest one every time. When she sings her vowel placement alone makes me want to hurt myself. As for for her vocal accuracy, it's okay, just try not to be to vocal when you are in the audience and she misses your favorite (and most important note) in the show.

It shouldn't matter whether or not you are actually attracted to the person behind the character. If both of you are putting your heart and soul into the show (which of course you both should be)you should be acting so intensely that the two characters are attracted to eachother.

So don't think about whether you are attracted to them in real life. Think about how your characters are feeling and you should have no problem.

With my experiences with Sutton I find that once you find her she is more than happy to sign things for you and take pictures. However, the finding her can sometimes be a little challenging. I only got to meet her before Drowsy one day because the guard at the door told me he would make sure we could borrow her for a few minutes when she came in. And i know she has physical therapy between performances sometimes, so she usually doesnt come out after matinees.

as for megan, that is a lit
