It is very sad to see any show close, Best of luck in securing future roles and jobs to everyone associated with SHREK. My 8 year old and I enjoyed it for what it was. Big Fun entertainment, with some of today's most memorable characters. We will be taking a big group when it comes by on tour. "I'm a believer." Now maybe they can release the music selections, we sing along to most of the songs in the car on long trips. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard on this show!

hmmmmmm. A Classic in terms of popularity and a desire by the masses to see it again and again over time. Is very different than the arguments I am reading here about the artistic merit of a piece. It seems to me that very few "artistic" pieces are revived successfully for financial reasons, most are a limited run by a set organization that probably has prepaid subscibers. Good For Her! I am delighted that Laura has once again secured a plum role. As they say Talent eventually wins out. She will bring a whole new dynamic energy into an already spectacular show.

And yet these new kids on the great white way keep this show consistently making money week after week, in spite of all the negativity heaved in their faces. Grease has grossed over 34 million this past year, continues to play to 85% or more audience. Has averaged a ticket price that most shows would envy, and doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon.
