Just curious...what show/shows do you really wish had a recording?

Me personally I would say
Thunder Knocking on the Door Off broadway cast
One Mo Time Revival cast
Civil War OBC
No No Nanette Encore cast

And not to mention Cry-Baby


These are not my most favorite shows but I love some of the music from them.

At least Lestat was recorded and might some day be released. Some of these others we need to just get over and hope for great revival cast recordings. But then there are great revivals that have gone unrecorded too...

Like the 2004 La Cage aux Folles. It still makes me sick that it was never recorded. And there were labels that tried, too. The producers wouldn't give a cent to the endeavor. A travesty.

Did the truth regarding the rumoured Cry-Baby recording ever come out? I remember there was Facebook pictures of the entire cast in the recording studio, but then it was denied any such thing was done.

I think Cry-Baby was recorded, because I also remember seeing pictures of the cast in a recording studio. What probably happened was the the show closed before the details of the release could be worked out.

I wanted Lestat, The Apple Tree with Kristen, and as far as I know only the original West End cast of Mamma Mia has been recorded. Am I wrong or did Louise Pitre and Co. record their songs. I would love Next To Normal.
