Jennifer Lopez is NOT a producer on the movie version of Heights. Don't know where you heard that. The producers are Universal, Meryl Poster and Lin-Manuel himself, according to the press release.

Andrea's husband, Peter Flynn, is the resident director at a summer program in Ithaca, NY. She's taking the summer off to be with him. She'll be back in the show in the fall.

To respond to an earlier question . . . Lin-Manuel actually came on stage last Thursday and did the BC/EFA speech with Andrea. He auctioned off pics with his Tony for 60 bucks a pop in the lobby. I think it was a one-time thing. I know they made a ton of money with it.

A beautiful story to start your Sunday. Bill Sherman, co-arranger for In The Heights, got married to Kristen Kirkland on the set of In The Heights Friday afternoon. Christopher Jackson and his wife Veronica sang, Chris and Lin-Manuel were Best Men, and director Thomas Kail was part of the bridal party. Alex Lacamoire conducted the In The Heights orchestra throughout the ceremony. It was gorgeous. There's a beautiful article and video about the couple and their wedding here:

L'chaim!

I work at the Richard Rodgers, here's the short version of the story: Lin was a fan of this kid's videos on Youtube, and posted supportive comments on his Youtube page. The kid's mom emailed Lin, letting him know that they would be in town to see Heights for Thanksgiving week. So Lin invited them to the theater, and they filmed this between shows last Saturday before Thanksgiving. He bought everyone in the cast and crew dinner from Carmine's--it was delicious, and Nicholas and his mom stuck arou

Whoa. That's Veronica in those pictures! She was in the early workshops of Heights, and she's married to Chris Jackson, who plays Benny. She looks awesome!
