re: Wicked Tour Lottery

Mar 27, 2009 — 8:51:45 PM

It's because, at BBM, they've recouped the money they needed. They're ahead so they give those tickets out at that price. Wicked makes a killing.

It's there... I've seen Marcie and Helene 9 times so far.

Wicked Second National Tour Review 3/8

Mar 10, 2009 — 7:26:39 PM

I'm making another thread because people were ridiculous in the first. Really guys. I mean that it's a review so this is very long. It should answer some staging and character questions, and anything left unanswered can be answered by me (hopefully) if you ask. There are a few references to Katie Rose Clarke and Carmen Cusack throughout. ____________________ Barbara B Mann notes: *40 people at the first lotto. I was not expecting that at all. It's only going to get worse I imagine. *80% of th...

The Fox Theater in Atlanta is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The ceiling is indigo with stars that sparkle. Everything about it is absolutely gorgeous.

re: The blue hairs of Ft. Myers, FL don't understand Sweeney Todd

Ft. Myers is pretty terrible when it comes to Theater. As it is, Wicked is coming there in March and there are still tickets available. Now, there aren't many and they're pretty terrible, but still. It's Wicked. It sells out at lighting speed everywhere else, including Miami, where it broke all kinds of records. There's also a beautiful new theater in Miami and they're not bringing in the customers either. Except for Wicked, nothing seems to do well. Anna Karenina didn't sell out a few years ...

re: Unpopular Opinions You Hold

Cats may be getting old, but it's still fun once in a while. The tour's Anastasia Lange is incredible as Grizabella. Take her out of Cats after a while and put her in a new show and people will notice her. Carmen Cusack was such an amazing Elphaba. I saw nothing I didn't like about her portrayal. I do not care for Spring Awakening. Is it me? I didn't see a love story. I saw... something else. Patti LuPone's voice can be irritating. Elphaba should stay dead at the end of Wicked. Sutton Foster ...

I think Katie Rose Clarke is absolutely fantastic and definitely underrated.

You could also trying searching the show's name and then when the results come back, hit "date."

re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 11/30

Actually, now I see that you cannot believe everything you read. I went back through and found that the week of 12/30/2007 grossed $1,839,950. That is the only week where the draw has been bigger than the one last week.

"At the end of the week of January 1, 2006, it broke all records for the highest weekly box office gross including the record previously held by “The Producers,” earning $1,610,934. It went on to break its own record in the week ending November 26, 2006, grossing $1,715,155." I believe that Wicked did, indeed, break another box office record.

I apologize, I thought that was what you were meaning. I read that wrong when you said "off Broadway." :[ I searched back through and I don't see anything. Sorry about that.

Hey LePetiteFromage, you can check out Variety.com for those grosses. I've been checking it quite often, actually. Here's this weeks: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117995876.html?categoryid=15&cs=1&query=wicked

I'm really curious as to why Wicked is down again. I mean, 93% is incredibly high, but that's not like Wicked. Usually when they have a downish week the next week is back up near 100%. Shrek is kind of shocking, too. :|

re: Katie Rose Clarke Replacing Sierra Boggess 15 February?

Nov 15, 2008 — 2:39:51 PM

Actually... she hadn't "signed" by the end of Atlanta, at least. She had committed for nine months, but hadn't signed a thing. I thought that was kind of strange to be honest, especially since for quite some time she was supposed to be leaving with Carmen. Anyway. There are many Wicked girls rumor out there right now.
