Yes, I'm aware it was in the film. I still don't think it was the best idea for her career.

Does anyone else find American Idol kind of pointless? It seems like the people who do well on the show can't get away from the stigma of being on it. It's hard to accept someone as a real star when they were voted the winner of a reality show. Kelly's had trouble getting away from it and it doesn't help that like the first video she had off her latest album had clips from princess diaries 2 in it (thus connecting her to another franchise instead of just letting her be herself). I wonder how muc

This may just be my opinion, but I don't think Beyonce is a vocal powerhouse. She's a good singer, a strong singer, and she has a fair amount of charisma, (and I like her) but she is not a singer on par with people I consider to be vocal powerhouses like Jennifer Holliday, Patti Labelle or Aretha Franklin. There's nothing really that amazing or interesting about Beyonce's voice. The fact that she's attractive combined with the fact that she has more talent than most "artists" on the TRL line-up

This topic reminded me of a quote from a Madonna song. "Girls can wear jeans, cut their hair short, wear shirts and boots, its ok to be a boy, but for a boy to look like a girl is degrading, because you think that being a girl is degrading"

I think when Barbara said, "you sang your own parts", she was referring to the three leads, i doubt she's dumb enough to think that minnie driver is an opera singer.

I'm not really sure where the animosity towards Emmy from some chatters is coming from. Just because she's a strong young woman who knows what she wants and works hard to get it that makes her a bitch? No wonder its taken so long for women to gain credibility in society with that sort of attitude coming from both men and (especially) other women.

I'm pretty sure that Betty Wand did Rita Moreno's singing in West Side Story, not Marni Nixon, who dubbed Anita.

I'd like to know if you though the film was better than Chicago and Moulin Rouge, Rose.

I don't think Renee or Richard were bad exactly. They're both kinda nasal, but I wasn't bothered by either of their singing.
Some Questions

I feel a bit silly asking this, but some people have noticed that in pictures it seems that Patrick's sideburns change in direction in different scenes. Is this something that you noticed in the film?
Some Questions

First of all, thank you for being so kind and answering everyone's questions, Rose. It's very appreciated.

I just have a few questions that some other people didn't ask. In the flashback scenes some people were assuming that the children are laughing at the Phantom when he has the sack over his head and is being mistreated. Is that how it goes?

Not sure if this was covered or not before, but does Christine know that it's the Phantom early in Point of No Return?
