so much for Bebe doing the tour for it's first few months.
I think Sara is incredible. I'll be thrilled to see her.

Not star casting (as I assumed it would be), but it's good casting. This makes me sort of want to see the tour...

Good for Sara! Has she done anything since Grey Gardens off-B'way?

DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, replacement in 101 DALMATIANS tour, A FREE MAN OF COLOR - saw her in all three!

That's it, I'm going! I never had an overwhelming desire to see the show, but with Douglas? I'm so there.
Doug Sills??? I have to see this!
Am I the only one who is disappointed with this casting?
I mean i thought that they would be able to get a somewhat star for the two leads, since that's how they are filling seats on Broadway besides the known Addams brand.

Yeah, they are a show that mostly relies on celebs to fill the seats.

I saw the show with Lane, and Neuwirth, and was not looking forward to the tour without them, but now I think it might be good!
It's no doubt, the show isn't as good without Nathan. He really made that show. But I love Sara and Doug, so I'll definitely be seeing it in NOLA!!! Can't wait!
YAY Sara! To answer your question Parks, she was touring with 101 Dalmatians for a little while, but I don't know what she has been doing since then. I am so happy for her. I might give in and see the show because of her.
I am glad that Douglas Sills has something so major to follow up the quick demise of "White Noise," which was a total waste of his talent anyway.

Wait, isn't Sara wayyyy too young?

I don't know for sure how old Sara is, but I worked with her in 2001 and she had already been working for awhile by then, so I'm putting her at least in her late thirties, if not older. And with Morticia she'll be wearing that black wig and several layers of pale makeup so her true age won't matter all that much.

I vaguely remember reading that she graduated college in 1999, which would make her 34, tops.

Douglas Sills is a wonderful talent, but I do think that this show needs a name in it in either role.
Heard a rumour on another message board that Kristine Zbornick is Grandma.
Has anyone heard any more casting for the tour?
What's to be disappointed about? She'll sing it better than any Morticia so far and looks perfect for the part, and he's great with broad comedy and has a wonderful voice.
So their autographs won't sell for as much on eBay. Boo-hoo to you.
EDIT: And no, the Addams Family doesn't need a "name" out on the road. It already has the most recognizable one in its title.
