They announced their policy this morning. They will have 20 $40 tickets available at the box office for each performance. First come, first serve. No details on limiting payment methods. My friends and I are going tomorrow. I’ll provide you with an update. More details at: http://www.playbill.com/article/broadways-the-bands-visit-announces-rush-policy
Good news! I expect I'll be rushing this in the near future.
If they haven't said anything about payment method, they probably accept both. Cash-only rushes are becoming rarer and rarer, I find.

I stopped this morning and I got a partial view in the second row of the orchestra for $80. It is probably what I could have gotten in tomorrow morning’s rush, but I was there and I went for it. Can’t wait!

If someone who goes would please post their experience (time arrived, number of people in line) it would be greatly appreciated. Hope to try this rush very soon. Thanks.

Thinking of you and your friends this morning. Were you able to get tickets?
Any reports on where the rush seat locations are? How many people were in line? Looking forward to seeing this!
I was at the box office late morning to ask about exchanging my seat. The box office guy told a lady in line that the rush tickets were gone in 15 minutes, but he didn't elaborate on how many people were lined up or what time they got there because another patron stated that he had been there for rush, and then he started talking to the lady about it, and I was busy talking to the box office guy by then.
I rushed today and here is the run down.
First person arrived at 5:30, second at 6 or 6:30. Then my friend and I at about 7 and the next person very shortly after us. Etc. By the time the box office opened I'd say there were about 30 people in line?
Seat locations were side orchestra close to the front though. My friend and I were tickets 4&5 and we sat row D seats 13 and 15. We could see basically all of the show we may have missed a few people standing to the stage right time to time but it was totally fine.
Only weird thing we the first woman online actually got an arguably worst seat than some people behind her. She got D16 and another who came after she got C16 which was weird.
If you have any questions feel free to message me :)
I did rush today! I got to the theatre around 6 AM and was first and was pretty much alone till about 7:30-8:00AM. More people started to line up around 9:00 AM. By the time the box office opened up there were about 15-20 people in line. Not sure if everyone got tickets or not cause I dipped after I got mine.
If you were curious I got Row B! I’m super excited for tonight!
I got there around 7 this morning and was second in line. No one really showed up until 8:30 or so, and my 9-9:15 I’d say there were maybe 9 people. There were more closer to 10. I’m sitting in row H on the right side.

I'll offer some hope to people who want to rush without getting up at the crack of dawn: I got there late in the day after 5PM and to my surprise was able to get a rush ticket. The seat was first row to the side but not far side, the box office person told me the seat was partial view but it was completely full view. Granted, I am short so the stage was a little high for me but I saw everything perfectly fine. It was interesting to have Tony Shalhoub towering right over me. They accepted a card and it was forty bucks- good luck to anyone trying!
Alfie, making me regret paying full price haha but the seats were good? I'm off to the left orchestra, first row on the center aisle. As long as it's a good seat, I won't regret it. Also, I'm pretty tall.

You will absolutely have a fine view from that seat I would not worry! There is nothing that happens far back that you will miss- the stage rotates and it's a small production. As a tip for shorties like me who sit in the first row with a raised stage I get a booster seat from the usher, not too many people know about those and unless it's a kids-heavy show like Wonka they usually have a lot just sitting around.
Just got Rush tickets to see The Band's Visit tonight. Got there at 8:30 and was the 2nd person there. At 9am there were 4 people. At 9:30 there were 9, by 10am there were 11. Got Front Mezz row C -2 seats off far side aisle. Full View tickets.
Excited to see this show!

Keeping with the updates - I'm in line now, got here at 8:30. Two people in front of me, second place got her eat 7:30. Two more people arrived right after me but there's just us 5 so far. Seems like not a rush you need to get here earlier than 8:30-9 for (yet).

True. Hubby arrived st the box office at 10, was 11th in line and got 2 Row C Front Mezz, left side but full view. I'd loved the show at the Atlantic; this time shared the love with first-timer hubby. He was as charmed as I by this little gem. Hope it's triumphant at the Tonys.

Went today, got in around 8:50 and line was already long. Rush tickets were all sold out by the time I got to the front of the line. Might be because it was the first weekend but definitely did not expect such a line based on the above.
Maybe it's more about it being a weekend in general. Thanks for the info!
I actually tried to get my Friday 20th Oct tickets moved to either matinee or evening performance for the next day (next weekend), and they said they had a total of 10 and 6 seats total left which were non-premium prices. Even the non-premium tickets were in the range of $99-$149 each. They were really good seats - front orch and mezz so I doubt they'd be given out for rush anyway. This might be a hot ticket for a few weekends at least.
The boyfriend got me rush tickets for my birthday! True love ??
He arrived at 8:50 this morning (Thursday) and was third in line. We are D 13&15
Anyone done this the last couple days? Thinking about rushing tomorrow and want to know how early I should get there.
My post was only four days ago and has the information you’re looking for.
^Ah whoops, right you are. Thanks!
