I saw the show three times - thought it was wonderful. Incredible set, too.

FB does a great send up of it.

It was my first Broadway show and I saw it twice. The music truly is wonderful.

I thought the set was ugly as hell. The floor tilted. Big deal. Other than that, it was a bunch of painted flats.

OW WOW - THE FLOOR TILTS! THIS IS ALMOST AS COOL AS THAT CHANDELIER OR THAT HELICOPTER!

Anyway...

I thought the "sinking ship" effect was wonderful, and I had never seen anything like it - I thought it was very well done. I love the show, and adore the music - saw it twice.

I just started listening to Titanic (having heard many of the songs before but never the full CD). It's beautiful! My respect for Maury Yeston is growing...

My entry musical...(boy, does my mom EVER curse the day that she let me buy that OCR). I just got back into the songs, but I did NOT like the show when I saw it staged.

I just started listening to the score and really like it. I think the finale is gorgeous.

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

I am a Titanic freak (of the ship itself) the show was AMAZING...I listen to the OBCR every April on its anniversary of the sinking. Especially Mr. Andrew's Vision which is the song about what happens during the 2 and a half hours that the ship is sinking. Michael Cerveris was amazing. I saw the OBC in 1998. I'm so sad I forgot to bring my CD back to school with me...oh well...I'll watch the crappy Leo Dicaprio movie on April 14th-15th

hmm...

Big prediction here: a big ol' revival in about 5 years complete with a huge set - not the surreal minimalist (yet Tony Award winning) set from the original.

Sail on!

Love the music, hate the show.

I love titanic. I saw the first national tour twice. I love the music and I think the book, which is often overlooked, by the late great Peter Stone is fantastic. I just didn't like the sets and costumes for the tour or Broadway. but they did get it right, I think, for the German and UK productions..

Hey Cats, do you know of any pictures of the show with Michael Cerveris?

One of my favorites! Saw the show and have the OBCR. I don't have a clue why it had to say "bye" to Broadway. I hope there will be a revival in the future.

This was my first broadway show and first trip to NYC in 1998 and I haven't been able to get enough since then. I loved it and also love the music.

i loved Titanic, though after i got the album. Like Maury's other show, Nine, the music grew on me after the show, having not enjoyed it in the theater. I give Titanic credit, though. it is the one time ive ever cried watching a Broadway show.

The music is lovely. I did like the ship sinking effect and cried like nobody's business when Brian D'Arcy James got swallowed up. However, some of the sets did "look like a high-school show from your hometown." Couldn't resist the Forbidden Broadway line. =)

Saw the show numerous times including it's final performance. A friend of mine saw a production in California and said the set in that production was much better.
