I mean, SWEENEY isn't chock full of names, either. But, one must assume a large amount of avid theatregoers went (at least partly) to see the stage return of Patti LuPone.
Then again, since 70% of the audiences today are tourists, if SWEENEY can make it...so can COMPANY.

eh, it works without Tick Tock. I don't really miss it, because the way the transition is done so seamlessly fits into the style of the rest of the production.
It doesn't work without Tick Tock. Out of the three girlfriends, Marta sings "Another 100 People", April has the butterfly monoglogue and, minus Tick Tock, Kathy has nothing to do. The dance is needed to balance out the girlfriends' contributions.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
That's truly the only problem I found with the exclusion of Tick Tock, and I found it, in my opinion, to be a very minor problem. I think having a dance number in this production would be more awkward than not having it.
Kristin3, yes, I did -- it's pure genius.
Walsh was one of the two or so cast members I could live without -- she was fine, but kind of expendable, and she and Raul together didn't really do it for me. It felt like a battle for who could win over the deadpan.
