WHAT A MESS THEY TURN A GREAT MUSICAL TO GARBAGE.. ELENA ROGER IS HORRIBLE AS EVA. SHE HAS THE STAGE PRESENCE OF A WET DISH RAG AND CANT SING THE SCORE. THEY BE BETTER OFF BRINGING PATTI BACK. RICKY NEEDS TO LOOSE THAT HIDEOUS MOUSTACHE.THE WHOLE CAST LOOKED BORED N TIRED. TOTAL LACK OF ENERGY. THE ORCHESTRATIONS WERE FLAT AND TEMPERED TOO. THE SET WAS THE ONLY THING IMO THAT WAS DONE RIGHT. I HAVE TICKETS ALREDAY TO GO BACK IN MAY AND IM ALMOST SORRY I HAVE TO SIT THRU THIS HORRIBLE PRODUCTION AGAIN.HOPEFULLY THINGS WILL COME TOGETHER A BIT SINCE IT WAS THE FRIST PREVIEW.
Welll MYSTERIOUS, THEY ELENA ROGER AS EVA AND BERNATE AS SALLY CAN DEFINITELY BE UP AGAINST EACH OTHER FOR WORST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A MUSICAL.....
...WELL that's the gamble when you choose the first preview! Rather than wanting to be first, why not aim for closer to opening night? The show is set and the actors warmed to their roles. I made the same mistake by attending the first preview of Women On the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown...need I say more?
But it wasn't a "first" preview, it was a FRIST preview. They're specialer.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)
I have to disagree. I have seen Elena in both Evita and Passion, and she is an unbelievable talent. Both performances were sublime, her ability to interpret characters in an imaginative and fresh way is a joy to behold. I believe her Piaf was just as powerful. Check out the reviews for all 3, she got raves.
