I want a kitchen reno -- without the crew, without the dust, without the hassle. Somebody twitch their nose!
Sleeping.
But he's a breeze -- as I mentioned he's quite self-sufficient and appears to be having a good time. He went off on his own last night (he saw the latest edition of FORBIDDEN BROADWAY) and then he and J2 had a spirited discussion (with lots of eye-rolling from me) about their shared love of those composers who make noise and call it music.
Morning!
They re did my kitchen before I moved in so I should be good for a while. I'm considering repainting the bedroom though.
Hallo.

Oh lordy, he's into that atonal stuff, too? At least they're not playing a CD of "Top Ten Hits Without a Melody".
We started a kitchen reno 6 years ago. Never got around to the counters and backsplash, though. The tile is still sitting in a box in the hall closet. It looks very nice there.
A former co-worker was IMing me yesterday about show recommendations on/off Bway when she comes up from New Orleans with some friends in October. I was stumped.

Oh Moony, you should have heard the two of them going on and on and on and having quite a few laughs at my expense.
Halo, Girly!
I (surprisingly) liked NEWSIES. I know!!!
I've always loved Newsies (the movie) and really enjoyed the musical, at Papermill.
I need a NYC weekend to catch up on shows. October, maybe.

I enjoyed it for the most part at Papermill, though I do know a couple things changed.
I did have an issue with some of the "boys" looking/being a little long in the tooth. I guess if you're not too close, you won't notice that.

I completely suspended my disbelief. And they're all hot.
Jeremy Jordon was out yesterday; his understudy looked a bit younger (and was fantastic!)

You know, I probably should have suggested Newsies to my sister when we were looking for mutually acceptable shows to see. Maybe I'll surprise her with tickets - in addition to Annie. We'll be there October 27 - 29, by the way.
Annie's on my definite list. I want to see Katie Finneran.

Happy Thursday Adults.
After you get your kitchen magically redone, put my two bathrooms in line for the next update.
I actually have the money set aside to redo my master bath and maybe add a balcony (if I can get HOA approval), but I just dread living through the dreck of it - especially with two cats (one who is more than just a wee bit curious - I can only imagine the mess he would get into).
I am seeing Red at the Taper next month, it is supposed to be pretty good!
Work has been a bit nuts lately, so I think that is the new normal.
Happy Thursday!
Word is already out about our marriage equality piece, we are getting a preview article on the local gay newspaper in a couple of weeks, and we haven't even had the first workshop yet!
I would like to see Annie, it holds a special place in my heart.
I'm in for ANNIE as well. A Framily with Family outing.
Poor Sister Moony. She may never recover.
I know pretty much nothing about Annie other than the Sun & hard knock life songs, she's an orphan that lives with a bald rich man, and that the dog and I share a name.
But I'd be in just to spend time with framily, lol.

Sis is ........quite different from me. For one thing, she's a raving extrovert. Cousin SOMMS will recognize the "family nose". She looks very French.
Your name is ARF?
My favorite song from ANNIE....
Maybe far away
Or maybe real nearby
He may be pouring her coffee
She may be straightning this tie!
Maybe in a house
All hidden by a hill
She's sitting playing piana,
He's sitting paying a bill!
Betcha they're young
Betcha they're shmart
Bet they collect things
Like ashtrays, and art!
Betcha they're good --
Why shouldn't they be?
Their one mistake
Was giving up me!
So maybe now it's time,
And maybe when I wake
They'll be there calling me "Baby"
Maybe.
Betcha he reads
Betcha she sews
Maybe she's made me
A closet of clothes!
Maybe they're strict
As straight as a line...
Don't really care
As long as they're mine!
So maybe now this prayer's
The last one of it's kind...
Won't you please come get your "Baby"
may-be
Cuz, is Annie the matinee?
Date...time....don't upset Honey Boo Boo
Yeah, what day/time???!!!
When I was on vaca last week, they had a webcast for the "It Can Wait" campaign, and I just watched the replay. Not sure if any of you noticed the commercial that ran a lot during the Olympics that featured the teen boy that got brain injured after hitting a tree, while texting and driving. That was originally from a 15 minute documentary that was sent out around schools, etc. and made several years ago. When he filmed it, he was in a wheel chair and learning to re-do things. Well, he took part in the webcast last week. He's walking and speaking so much better than what you see in that old excerpt!! I was so happy to see that! He graduated high school and is attending college now!

I was thinking evening of Sat. the 28th.
OMG, Deet, I am STILL laughing - out loud, no less - over your last post. Too funny!
