i.e. Lance Bass and his so-called SAG (straight-acting gay) posse.

I met J2 through a gay dating service called Man Mate. Our first date was on February 14, 1993 (yep, that's right) and we've been together ever since.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Congratulations to all on their partnerships, long or short!

I trust it was clear I was just curious, not judgmental. My divorced sister met a wonderful guy via match.com.

(Confidential to AC: I met plenty of "Mr. Wrongs" at bars and clubs before I happened on "Mr. Right." So I know what you mean.)

At least online I don't have to stand around listening to music that's too loud and probably hate. I've met men I've mated with in all sorts of real-world scenarios, but having been online dating since the mid 90s (Back when most of my straight friends were horrified by the thought. I guess I'm an online dating hipster. I was online dating before it was cool), I couldn't imagine life without it. I'm sure I'd adapt, but it's still a mostly positive thing, I think.

When I lived in Boystown in Chicago, those GPS apps were crazy. I lived in a high rise and I'd see guys who were tens of feet away and wonder if they were on my floor or perhaps one on a nearby floor. Of course sometimes I used it just for sex, but at other times it made it very easy to go have a spur of the moment drink or coffee with someone that stumbled across me on an app.

I had always dismissed online dating as something I would never try. I just had this idea that it wouldn't be for me, and for some reason this preconceived notion that it was "sketchy." A bit over two years ago, I made myself an OkCupid profile. I basically figured a) most people in bars are just looking to hook up (especially gay bars, lets face it) and b) I wasn't posting anything on OkCupid that wasn't already on my Facebook. I got a message from my now boyfriend of two plus years on the site three days after creating my profile, and I deleted it two days after our first date. And we've been together ever since.

So for me, it was absolutely worth it. I figured I had nothing to lose. And I'm very glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried it. I realize I'm in the minority in terms of things working out so well so fast (he had a profile for about six months and went on multiple dates, most of which were total busts, all of which never went anywhere) but I say give it a try! Why the hell not?
