Are gay networking sites a good way to find relationships?

I met my boyfriend on OkCupid, and have known a lot of success stories.
As for Grindr, I've made a good friend on there, but most guys there aren't looking for that.

Hmmm I never heard of OkCupid before. I agree about Grindr, few guys are looking for friends on that site. I have met some nice guys on Adam4adam but none were looking for anything special. I'm not old enough to go to clubs or bars yet so its slim pickins for now i suppose.

OkCupid's probably the best (free) dating site out there.

Given that it's free, though, you often have to sift through a lot of chaff to have much success.
Or, as a friend puts it, "It's not called AmazingCupid for a reason."

I met my boyfriend the old fashioned way: by flashing my pearly whites and introducing myself.
I have a very close friend who met his boyfriend on Grindr and they've been together for two years.
It all depends on what you're looking for. Another thing you can do is join a message board or join a Meet Up thing. Shared interests (theater, reading, writing, movies, etc) means more than shared lust.
(Meet Up is a website where you can find clubs based on interest. I am a member of a screenwriting group, but with full time work and school I haven't been going to meetings. I also have a friend who met his newest boyfriend through AA. So there.)

HILARIOUS!

You remember how fast relationships deteriorate at that age ljay. It always starts with someone borrowing the wrong hair gel or eating that last piece of bacon, then it's all downhill from there.

I had a summer fling in high school that ended shortly after my senior year started. We went to different high schools (He was a Shark. I was a Jet) and we had mutual friends. One day, a girl said that she was sorry that I got dumped. It was news to me!
Oh, young love!

Grindr (and its siblings Growlr and Scruff) are what you make of them. You can definitely find hookups on them, but I've met two people on Grindr before that I dated for some time.

There are now so many Grindr knockoffs, it's not even funny. Except for the hilariously named Hornet.

I met my fiancé on OKCupid within one month of registering, so it gets a high endorsement from me.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

I'll echo Kad and the others. From what all my single friends tell me, OKCupid is the way to go (if we're talking free)

Match.com & Okcupid are better than Grindr but they're really still just full of guys looking to fvck. I've strangely found the nicest and most relationship oriented guys on Scruff. But I'm sadly still single and I hate being single.
