When will Ben Platt leave DEH?

Ticket buyers are being informed when Midler and Grobin are going to be out. I would rather be prepared to be disappointed than surprised after spending $900 for 2 tickets.

Many of us believe his final performance will be in mid-November, specifically, November 12 or November 19, 2017. Whether or not that's accurate remains to be seen.

DEH Producers aren't stupid. They opened up a year block of tickets the day of the Tonys knowing full well Ben, Rachel and others could be gone come fall. Ben has to be exhausted and he will have armfuls of offers, so unless they really sweeten the pot for him, he'll be gone. RBJ can really work out a huge raise, so there's a chance she will stay for a good long while.

It's the same as Hamilton last year. As it swept the Tonys the OBC was out the door.

When Rachel was on AOL Build a few weeks ago she made it seem that everyone is there through November but the way she said it and everything made it sorta seem like she wanted and is going to stay past then. Im sure she can work something out with the producers unless another production or TV show grabs her

DEH is sticking around for four months longer than Hamilton. Which only times to when their contracts/runs started, nothing to do with the Tony Awards, really.

Similarly, though, by the time both shows won, you couldn't get a regularly priced seat to either.

He has said many times he is there until November.  When his contract expires. I think he wants to move on from the role, and will have tons of offers now, like the entire principal cast of Hamilton.  Rachel stayed through Pippin's entire run, I think she will stay a long time.

Everything we say about this is sheer speculation, including what Ben has said in interviews and on Twitter which all predate his Tony win. The producers will obviously attempt to have Ben extend, even for a few months, and they'll certainly offer him a bunch of money to do that. My guess (yes, guess) is that he'll make his decision for reasons other than money.

My best guess is that he negotiates a reduced schedule (no two show days) effective immediately, and a very hefty pay increase, and agrees to stay through January maybe March (assuming a movie or pilot doesn't grab him), with an option to leave after December if he gets a better offer. At least if I were his agent that's what I would push for, again if I didn't have the movie/pilot lined up.

So I'm seeing the show in November about 5 days after most people say he will be leaving (November 24) , I would love to see him but as a huge fan of Mike Faist and Rachel Bay Jones I'm wondering how long they will stay or is the whole entire cast leaving in November? And when do you think they'll announce the exact date?

A hermit?  I saw him at Panda Express the other day.

People shouldn't speak of what they do not know.

Platt is a special talent, he does not have a or TV face, but he has an influential Daddy, maybe he'll be Bog in the WICKED movie?

I wish him luck and a better career than John Little Young.

My favourite line from the Globe & Mail Tony wrap-up:

The big winner at the Tony Awards, Dear Evan Hansen, features an extraordinary central performance by Ben Platt as the title character, an anxious teenage misfit; I suspect the problems with that show are going to become more apparent once he leaves.

I agree with you. I wish they performed an ensemble piece at the Tony's versus one of Ben's solos that can be readily seen on YouTube already.
