Another I made this morning. I'll admit, I'm quite proud of it despite the fact it needs work
Yoshimi has been announced for the La Jolla Playhouse's next season. They should totally be paying you to use your artwork, pv.
SO much wonderful work here! My far and away fave is THE LIFE. Loads better than anything I've seen for that show before. Keep up the great work!
Oh man! I am IN LOVE with that KING AND I poster you designed jamiekennywicked! GORGEOUS!!
Oh wow, thank you so much! Mega compliment!
My take on the The Music Man revival cast recording with credits
If ever there was an Amy Winehouse biopic. In case anyones wondering, the hair/shirt is made up of lyrics from her songs and further down, an article about her death
I love this thread.
Thanks for adding and bumping jamiekennywicked!
I think JamieKenny should design one for Side Show!
Oh I've tried. To the point I get frustrated lol Have you done a SIDE SHOW poster before? I'd love to see you do one :)
^Side Show could really use a brilliant design. Hopefully, the new production will come up with something better than the original one, although I do love the actual Broadway poster with the spectators staring up at the side show logo. I wish they had used that for the CD cover.
I'll admit the artwork for Side Show is one of the few things I wasn't crazy about for the show. I certainly have a few ideas its just a matter of finding the right pictures, vectors etc to make it work. Propervillian should really give it a blast :)
I have my first solo gallery show coming up that I'm working on (goes up end of August... and I'm still planning... NIGHTMARE!).
However, for those that helped me come to terms with "No Sex Please, We're British" in the thread that I started, I have tacked on the final design for that show. Again, thanks for your insight (you know who you are)!
Gave SIDE SHOW ago. Not my favorite poster I've made but anyhow..
^ I like it
Thank you :) And another..
What program do you guys use to make these posters?!
I use Macromedia Fireworks.. the 2004 version. Newer versions seem to be missing some useful features
2 more:
This one is what I made based on a memory of a similar poster I saw somewhere a while back. Though not as good as I had hoped, the idea is the face of a cabaret performer with a Hitler moustache, a nod to the Nazi plot line in the show.
And 2. Sally Bowles in a silhouette of Germany
My poster for the Annie revival.
It could happen, right? Meh, a work in progress.
WOW, that's beautiful! I saw Ann Crumb in Denver when she did "Sunset Boulevard" in 2010 and fell in love with her. I would've loved to see her in "Anna Karenina."
