She also got some nice notices.
"On Thursday night, Lindsay Lohan, that notably notorious American actress and the most gossiped-about celebrity invitee to London’s theatreland in ages, made her stage debut with a surprising - and smouldering – degree of style." -- TELEGRAPH
"What a turn up! Lindsay Lohan silences the doubters with a deft performance " -- INDEPENDENT
"Whatever her colourful past, Lohan brings on stage a quality of breathless naivety that is far and away the most interesting thing in Lindsay Posner’s otherwise tame, under-powered revival." -- THE GUARDIAN

It's better not to step on the unfettered if inaccurately arrived at glee of Potash.
London critics are notoriously slobbery over Hollywood stars that come to do plays. Brantley's star-f**kerism looks demure by comparison. I remember when Macauley Culkin got outrageous hosannas for MADAME MELVILLE and one critic compared Hayden Christiansen's performance in THIS IS OUR YOUTH to Marlon Brando.
Given that the reviews are mixed your assessment that Hollywood celebrities get a free ride on the West End is invalid. Unless your point is that Lohan should have received universally negative reviews.
If that's the case you fall into the category of American fan-boys who love to rip apart wounded Hollywood stars.

Um...no, not really, I'm just stating what I have witnessed in the UK theater press.
If you're a contrarian, you should just own it. It's what makes a "Broadway Legend" here.

No way do US celebs/stars get an easy ride from the UK press, that's total rubbish, especially from the big 3.
LOL, she's been ordered to do another 125 hours of community service because she tried to count the hours she spent in Speed the Plow as part of her original sentence.

That is not quite what the article says. She was trying to count allowing kids to shadow her during her experience with Speed the Plow as community service. The judge decided that that didn't count.

Well, it does say that some of the hours she was counting were hours that she spent onstage performing...not sure how the kids were supposed to shadow that...
