I actually have to admit that I don't really like PASSION. Donna Murphy was phenomenal in it but that was about the only thing I really LOVED about it.
I thought THE LION KING was both entertaining, surprisingly touching, and flawed.
But nonetheless, I have to vote for
THE LION KING.

Posted: 3/24/08 at 7:34pmI don't really care for either, but I'd say THE LION KING. I don't think it's very flawed and I wasn't crazy about it (and did NOT deserve Best Musical), but I cannot make it through the CD of PASSION. It just bores me to tears.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
