I've always thought it odd that Patricia Birch, who directed GREASE 2, had previously done the choreography for A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC on Broadway. Talk about going from the sublime to the ridiculous.
If imdb is to be believed, GREASE 2 was her debut and swan song as a film director. But she continues to work as a choreographer.
Um, you forgot "Re-pro-DUC-tion," the best number of all in that movie. :)
"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had the practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." --Alice in Wonderland
If it wasn't so late I'd watch the movie right now
"All our dreams can come true -- if we have the courage to pursue them." -- Walt Disney
We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
It was just on, and now it'll stuck in my head for days. I don't see why you'd think they would cut it, it's remained intact on the TV broadcasts for years.
NO. They took an okay musical and reversed it making it almost like hell. The songs don't reflect the characters. The script is lousy and sloppy. And the only decent thing are the actors. (Not saying that they're any good either) I stopped watching the movie, 15 minutes through it. Also, check this video out:
I absolutely love love love Grease 2. It's deliciously campy and I find the greaser mentality to be stronger in Grease 2 than Grease. The songs were catchy and in the end all about sex. Reproduction is awesome, Prowlin' and of course "Score Tonight." It's one of my favorites.
GREASE 2 is with NINE as one of the most enjoyably bad musical films to watch over and over again. Not to mention the not-so-subtle songs that has to do with sex is shockingly, but delightfully campy to listen to and see on screen.
