I have recently been listening to the original cast recording of House of Flowers and wanted to see if anyone here had the pleasure of seeing it with Pearl Bailey and what they thought of it. I love the score - some really amazing songs. And such incredible orchestrations - shame to think they were destroyed!

I've never heard anything about the orchestrations having been destroyed!

"A coherent existance after so many years of muddle" - Desiree' Armfelt, A Little Night Music "Life keeps happening everyday, Say Yes" - 70, Girls, 70 "Life is what you do while you're waiting to die" - Zorba

Lost, but maybe not destroyed. Jonathan Tunick did a new orchestration for the Encores production which was, sadly, not a good production. But the score sounded great.

My mother saw the show twice on Broadway. She absolutely loved it. I played her cast album a lot as a kid, growing up.

Favorite song: "I Never Has Seen Snow."

"Jaws is the Citizen Kane of movies."
