Hello! Does anyone have a spare Playbill from this month from "On the Town," or would you be willing to get me one if you are seeing it later this month? I just love the color artwork and am kinda bummed that it will be black and white when I finally get to see it next month! So I was looking for one from October...
[and before anyone gets too snarky, yes I checked eBay-- the only ones available are from September or opening night.]
Please just let me know! I am totally willing to pay for shipping Thanks in advance!
I wonder why they switch to Black + White covers? It can't be any cheaper to print, since I'm pretty sure the back cover is color. How much could they save?
Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone, but I'm almost positive that Playbill is a free service if the cover is in black + white. A production may choose to pay a fee if they want a color cover. Some who can afford it will remain in color their entire run, some will begin and stay in black + white and never pay a fee and others will start in color and then change to black + white as to avoid the fee.
Greased Lightning for the win. Black & White is free, Color color comes with a cost.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
