This might have been posted in another thread but I think that one was between rear orchestra and side orchestra.
I was looking at tickets for my trip and I was wondering if the back side of the rear mezzanine (like rear mezz row f seat 20) or the side of the orchestra (like orchestra row a seat 10) was better.
Side orchestra for sure, if it’s full view. The Hamilton set opens quite wide.
The Rodgers has stadium seating in the orchestra, meaning about halfway through, the seats start sloping steeply, which is great if you’re in rear orchestra (so you don’t get blocked by heads). But it also means that the mezz is one floor higher than in other Broadway houses. Even in front row mezz you’re quite far from the stage, let alone rear mezz.
I was in th rear mezz for "Hmilton" and it was just fine with the exception of leg room. I am over 6ft tall and was thrilled when intermission came and I could stand up for a few minutes.
