Well, I gotta say- that bit someone posted about the boys in Finding Neverland who killed themselves certainly leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Now I'm rethinking everything I thought I knew about THAT story...oof...
I agree with Stage Door Sally: Has anyone read Ira Levin's "Veronica's Room" lately? Phew, I was startled, and had forgotten what a freaky and truly disturbing ride it is. It's simply over the top in terms of reversals and surprises, but what dark surprises they are. Dare I say, in the era of serial killers and American Horror Story (which it reminded me of, oddly), it was ahead of its time. I can't imagine how it landed in 1973 (and it only rant two months, Oct - Dec 29). The late great Heckart's role is a doozie.
