I saw it early in previews and thought it was very funny. If you don't want to pay full price, though, the show offers general rush tickets for $40 and digital lottery tickets for $30. It also appears frequently on TDF if you have an account. I saw a matinee, and JTF signed autographs and took photos at the stage door. Of course that doesn't guarantee that he'll stage door when you see it, but from what I've read on BWW, it seems as though he usually does. If you decide to see it, I hope you have a great time!
They offer $40 lottery loser seats, which are essentially, rush seats. I saw it with my mom in previews and we both enjoyed it. It's not going to blow you away but it was definitely a lot of fun!
Definitely worth seeing. If you can afford to chance it rather than buy in advance, I'll echo Craze NooNooHead and say you should try for rush (40) / the lottery (30). The lottery also gives a lottery loser discount, but as far as I know, it's the same as rush ($40). The seats have been in the orchestra, they're actually all sourced from the same seats as far as I'm aware, just a $10 difference.
JTF does stage door, it's very organized. But you have to wait a long time before he comes out, at least 25 min after the show (I think we waited 40 min or so on Sat evening).
Not unless you have literally seen every other thing this season... I recommend almost every other show and many many off-broadway shows before this one... It's a 90 min fluff piece... Funny but really like an hour too long. Jessie Tyler Fergussun is giving it his all and that's what makes it worth seeing but if you Are only in town for a week definitely skip it...
How does the lottery loser tickets work and at what time of day can you buy them? Planning on rushing this when I'm in the city next week but wouldn't mind going for the lottery and avoiding the time spent in line if there's tickets on the other end of that for those who don't win. Thanks for the help!
It's not awful, but there are many, many better shows open right now. It's 80 minutes with no intermission, and still felt a little long. Fun, but forgettable.

"You enter the lottery on their website. If you are notified that you've lost, you just go to the box office within an hour or so of losing, say you lost, and they offer you $40 seats. It's essentially the same thing as rushing.
