I'm putting up my vintage window card collection up on ebay. It has a bunch of original cast-signed posters. Some are broadway, others Off-Broadway. Most are originals from the late 70s and early 80s.
Links have been updated! More to come!
PM if you're interested in anything not yet listed or if you'd like to buy a few and I can cut you a deal.
Just want these to find happy homes with folks who know and love the shows and the history involved!
Hi Jason, When it comes to window cards, this may sound prosaic, but they’re ultimately worth what someone at that moment is willing to pay for them. There’s just no catalogue or Christie’s/Sotheby’s market for them.
As in... someone on eBay may tell you that a signed Sweeney is worth 50, then I come along and offer 100, which is great for you as the seller. But if someone offers you 45 for Annie and you don’t take it but instead wait for a better offer, you may never sell it at all.
Also, if you have some item specifics about the ones you feel people are lowballing you on, I’m sure some posters here can offer advice
I know I'm probably all over the place with pricing. There have been quite a few inquiries about the "Funny Girl" one. Someone told me it was worth way more, but it has print on the bottom that indicates its a repro. However, I've heard that some repros can actually worth something as well.
I've reached my limit for the month for free listings. If anyone is interested in anything in particular, feel free to DM me and make me an offer. I'm happy to post as a private auction if the offer is reasonable.
There are a couple window cards for shows I'm unfamiliar with. Does anyone have any knowledge of the ones below:
No. I just haven't gotten to those yet. Hoping to have some time to post them during the weekend. Feel free to DM with any that you're interested in. I can probably set up a private auction!
Just ran across your window card collection when looking for info — and noticed that you were asking about information about Tomfoolery. I worked on that production (sound designer), maybe I could answer your question. I was surprised to see that you also were showing a card from The Buddy System, which also worked on (again, sound design), if you have questions about that. Assuming I can remember much after 38 years!
What a pity that the links are no longer valid. I ordered something similar last month, but the price was so damn high, and the order hasn't arrived yet. I tried to follow their instructions, and the site blocked my account without the right to restore it. Has anyone of you experienced any problems with eBay tracking? I have many window cards from Chinese stores, and losing parcels has never happened to me before. Surprisingly, china package tracking has the best tracking system of all times. I could definitely feel the difference after my latest experience on eBay. Anyways, if you have any suggestions, let me know.
