What is the source of this information? I am wondering as all of the production's social media sites indicate June 7.

I got a little sneak peak/listen - WOW, it's STUNNING. The overall quality, mix/production, is one of the best cast recordings in recent memory.

I've heard a CD will be released some time in July. Sorry I do not know the date.
So….dont get me wrong - I really do like the album. But a lot of the songs strangely sound nothing like how they’re sung in the show itself, to me. Really curious if anyone else notices that.
If your'e an avid reddit user you can listen to it now. Not my kind of show, but I appreciate those who enjoyed it. I think it it will close shortly after the Tony Awards are over.

Now available to download — keep those thoughts coming, folx.
Listening now and I’m loving it.

Gosh, I’ve been waiting for this album since the Public run. So glad to finally have it. I think it sounds great.
Love it and don't agree that it doesn't sound like the live show. I think it captures the momentum very well. And these orchestrations by Michael Starobin are truly lovely. This would absolutely have my vote for Best Score.

Having not seen the show, I'm very excited to listen to this given (based on what I've heard/read) it's one of the more "musical theater" scores of the season. I appreciate the Stereophonic tunes, but it just doesn't interest me the way a real musical theater score does. And I found a lot to like about the scores for The Notebook and The Outsiders, but both still have more of a singer/songwriter style. I get what they're going for, but I find the affected poppy style of the singing in The Outsiders in particular to be somewhat annoying.
I too am surprised by how “traditional musical theatre” this cast album sounds, especially since Shaina showed me more of her poppier side with the Public Works As You Like It.
The pop side shines through once again with most of her own material (as the activist Alice Paul), and still it’s the bulk of her conventionally old-school score that carries the impressive, dense storytelling on display.
Jenn Colella is consistently good, show after show after show. This is the best Nikki James has sounded since Mormon, and Hannah Cruz is a pleasant surprise. I was shocked when I first saw the Public cast announcement a few years ago that Grace McLean would play President Wilson, but her naughty “Ladies” is just one of many treasures on the album. Not in her house, scoundrels!
Ally Bonino has this Lindsay Mendez-type timbre in her voice, anyone catch this in her 11 o’clock number?
It sounds absolutely thrilling when all the suffs sing together in perfect harmony, backed by the 12-piece band (also all-female).
Hope I can march on over to the Music Box soon.
I’ve listened to it a few times and i absolutely love it. Still can’t figure out exactly what sounds different to me, though. Maybe I’m just crazy. But it’s exceptionally well done.

I haven’t seen the show yet and I generally try to go into shows completely blind. That being said I’m curious to hear the style of music for this one in advance of seeing it. Is there one song you would recommend I listen to that is fairly “representative”?
