I'm teaching Musical Theater workshops and have just added a class on Duets. I have a list of some of the obvious ones, but my students deserve some fresh stuff. Keep in mind that I'll be working with mostly 10 to 17-year-olds, and that the scene has to stand on it's own. We'll be performing at a local community theater on a tight budget, so no smashing chandeliers or on-stage helicopters, but don't hold back on depth of content. These are some incredibly mature kids. My latest additions beyond the beaten-as-a-dead-horse variety are "Move On" from Sunday in the Park, "I Still Believe" from Miss Saigon, and "What You Dont't Know About Women" and "You're Nothing Without Me" from City of Angels. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

"A Little Priest" (one of the best duets ever written)
"Happiness"-from Passion (not sure if it's too bawdy)
"Perfectly Marvelous"-from Cabaret
"Ohio"-Wonderful Town
"Sing"-A Chorus Line
"Unusual Way"-Nine
"You'll Never Get Away From Me"-Wicked
"I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You"-Evita
"Waltz for Eva and Che"-Evita
"Say It Somehow"-Light in the Piazza
"We Do Not Belong Together"-Sunday in the Park with George
"Sue Me"-Guys & Dolls
"With So Little To Be Sure Of"-Anyone Can Whistle
"Written in the Stars"-Aida
There's the obvious ones from Rent and Wicked, but you said you wanted something fresh. I hope that helps.

"It Takes Two" Into the Woods
"Wanting" Rags
"A Little Fall of Rain" Les Mis
"In His Eyes" Jekyll and Hide
"People will Say We're In Love" Oklahoma
"All I Ask of You" Phantom
"Home" Phantom (Maury Yeston)
"I've Never Been in Love Before" Guys and Dolls
"By My Side" Godspell
These are just a few that came to mind at the moment.
I personally love For Good from Wicked or Suddenly Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors (we did a production of LSOH when I was in high school so it is age appropriate). Also possibly:
1) Nowadays from Chicago
2)How the Other Half Lives or I turned the Corner from Thoroughly Modern Milie
