So I was wasting my summer day this morning, watching "You've Got Mail" and my eyes about bugged out of my head when Sara Ramirez popped up on the screen! For those of you who have seen the movie a long time ago but are not totally familiar with it, she plays the cash register attendant in the grocery store in the scene where Meg Ryan is in the cash-only line but doesn't have enough cash to pay (so Tom Hanks sweet-talks Sara Ramirez into using the credit card.) She looks totally different and is speaking with an accent... they obviously put a lot of work into her hair and makeup so that she looks tired and not at all glamorous. Anyway, I just wanted to share. Also, I was curious about other instances where current Broadway stars might have popped up as bit parts in mainstream movies. If you have any examples, feel free to share!
"You know, a little orphan girl once told me that the sun would come out tomorrow. Her adopted father was a powerful billionaire, so I supressed the urge to laugh in her face. But now, by gum, I think she might have been on to something!"

I know it's credited on imdb, but I don't have her personal biography memorized, so when I watched the movie, I was surprised to see it! And I was pretty excited about it too! So I don't really see what you were getting at, CycoSpaz2.

Denis O'hare is in Derailed, it was a nice suprise when I watched it...
So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree. ~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels~
There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel. ~Curtains~
It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known. ~A Tale of Two Cities ~
